one of my favorite movies of all time, BETTER THAN SEX! Animation was amazing and had a great feel to it, kinda like the dark crystal and those sort of movies, and also a brilliant plot!

I loved this movie, a high Full Price in my opinion.

Also about Kludd--Soren's brother--he has a little more then a crush on Nyra the evil she-owl. That helps explain it a little bit.

I agree with some of the criticism I read here. It was too long and it might have lacked more character development. Yet I think the biggest mistake was not letting the characters speak with an American accent. Screw it that the owls live in an island close to whatever it is that they do. These are the kinds of stories that usually come in book version and that parents read to their kids (or the kids read themselves). I doubt it that parents or kids try to do an Australia or British accent while reading it. I think they ended up alienating a huge part of their target audience, (because American English is now standard English around the world - the greatest number of speakers in North America, plus the accent most used in media products such as CDs or DVDs, youtube videos, you name it). It's not that I'm anti-British or Australian accent. I'm talking money here.

@Richard Dempsey I don't know. I liked Tangled and so did everyone else. So in a couple of words, your plan to have everyone hate Tangled failed. And I liked Ga'hoole Of course Toy Story 3 and How to Train Your Dragon will be 2 of the 3 movies to be nominated for Best Animated Film. But either Despicable Me (Because everyone loved it and the ending), Ga'hoole (Because it was by the same guys that did Happy Feet), or Tangled (Because it's a classic Disney film like The Princess and the Frog which by the way got nominated for the Oscars a few months ago) will be the third nomination. So in other words, Toy Story 3 will be the winner because it's Pixar and their movies always win (Like Up which won for Best Animated Film like a few months ago in speaking of which, the Sony animated film Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs should have deserved to be a nomination for that category)

FULL PRICE! movie with out a doubt. Visuals and 3D are gorgeous, but if it was not for the basic story line, it could easily gotten a better than sex rating. Zack Snyder rocked this film. He is forgiven for the bullet time effects, caused the worked beautifully in this film.

the movie was really fast paced and i think there could've been a lot more character development. Felt very long but it was definitely a beautiful movie. wont watch again.

In honor of Cyrus, I will share with everyone a wall-to-wall conversation a friend and I had about this film: My buddy: Let's move on to movies that deserve our attention. Like The Owls of Ga'Hoole. Me: Is that the Zack Snyder one? Him: It's the one with the owls with the song written by Owl City. I don't think there are too many owl movies coming out. As a directer (PUN) answer to your question--yes. Me: Yeah das gonna be good Can't wait for slo-mo owl sex scene Him: Yeah, it's gonna be a hoot Me: I'm definitely goWing to see it... it'll beak a fun time... I don't know fly it wouldn't be... not sure feather it's worth 10$ or not... there's no talon. Him: Those were OWLt of this world. That's the best I can do. Me: That's pretty beak, dude. Just had to share.

Just got through seeing this movie and i was a little dissapointed in the direction they decided to take this movie, i figured they wouldn't stay true to the book but what made the books so interesting was the fact the author used actually information about owls and how they act to make a fantasy series, where as the movie avoided all the information and just gave us a run of the mill fantasy movie. On the flip side it was pretty amazing to watch, the fight sequences were done really well, but if i have one piece of information to pass along this would be for the director mr. zack snyder... stop using slow motion, just cause it worked in 1 movie does not mean it works in all of your movies. For the love of god if i see one more film with slow motion that isn't used like in sherlock holmes i will kill several directors...in slow motion.

Peeped this on Friday night with the kiddies. The wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The kids didn't quite get why I so intrigued. 3D has come a long way. They don't know how good they have it.

Look's beautiful might pick it up on Blu Ray when it comes out, it's a little odd seing owls move their eyes tho as in real life their eyes are too big to move so they have to tilt their head, obviously they had little choice in the movie and it's a movie about talking owls so my point is a little irrelevant.

I am really surprised at the review you guys gave it. Looking at the commercials, it looked stupid to me, so I had to no expectations for this movie. This cheesy dialogue type of family film isn't something I going to go out and buy, but like you guys said, its something the kids should definitely check out.

I was once assaulted by an owl. Luckily owls love improvisation comedy. And i thought it was a useless skill.
