@JadedGruge Have you seen this movie? Just because you havn't seen it and it's a remake does NOT make it bad. It is tedious to remake films, but this version could've been written by the same writer, just through a revised draft. It's a brilliant film that's even comparabble with the iriginal. Almost enough to beat it.

I really loved this movie untill after I watched it a thought popped into my head that made me really angry. I'm not saying that this is true, just my opinion, but I think that the guy she is with was a previous lover that she made her slave and that the boy is next in line. That would explain why the boy flipped out when he saw the photos. He was jealous.

I don't like remakes, the original was fine!

reasons for remakes just because it's other language .. dont like it.

I thought this was a well done remake overall, though it's under the original. My only major complaint was that I thought they made too much of a cold hearted bitch out of Abby where in the original Eli did had a show of sympathy and remorse. It's still a definite Full Price though.

Also, this movie such a box office flop that the theater I saw it at was showing it in the same small room as Case 39 (another flop) and they weren't even bothering changing the title cards back and forth.

I finally saw it recently. I liked but, (Spoilers Ahead) I think they should have kept out Abby attacking the neighbor lady or at least set it up better. While I wasn't a fan of the neighbors subplot in Let Right One In (I find the characters unlikeable), at least we got to know the lady before she's attacked and turned. Here we don't know jack shit about her accept that Owen say her boobs while spying on her boyfriend undressing her and she may know it. That's not really much and it makes that moment seemed tacked on. Also, I missed the subtlety of the original's pool scene.

My understanding, and this is in no way authoritative, was that the adult chaperone was her brother. I thought that was why the camera lingers on the old photo-booth picture. Again though, I don’t proclaim to know shit.

Well I saw the original and read the book and the whole idea behind the adult, besides being needed to rent apartments and all was that he was a pedophile that he/she was using, not a father or grandfather. I do think that they probably made the right decision from a marketing perspective for American audiences. Might have to go see this movie soon.

Let Me In is probably one of the best films of 2010 so far, The actors really delivered in this movie, it was well directed, and it really presented the art of horror really well. One thing that got to me when I saw this was....well its an actual vampire movie!!!! Theres no glowing when the vampires are in sunlight, they burn to hell like they should. Overall this is a very high full price movie for me. Perfect movie for this Halloween year.

I loved LMI, they did a great job of remaking LTROI and like that there were differences so that the two stand apart but are the same story wise and faithful to the source material. I will be getting a copy of LMI to sit beside LTROI on my DVD shelf as it lived up to my expectations and even got a relative who didn't care for LTROI to like LMI when we saw it Tuesday. High Full Price, only falls a little short of a "Better then sex" but it happens.

I really enjoyed this movie. Though I'm not so sure Abbey is "in love" with these boys she meets. It seems more like she's using them going from one, on to the next. Then again looking at what she did at the hospital she does have some feelings for them. Oh and of course Abbey needs an adult, she needs someone to act as her parent or else people will start asking questions about her.

I thought the movie was awesome. I love vampire/scary/thriller-type of movies and Let Me In totally does it for me. Abby is a tortured soul stuck in a 12 year-olds body... she's lonely and has a connection with Owen, who is also lonely. Two people searching for belonging come together. It's far more than a vampire movie. Open your eyes.

I adored this movie. IMO, it is better than the original. I loved the pacing; LOVE the actors, love the script; and yes, I loved the cg(and I HATE cg). Without a doubt this is the best film I have seen all year and I don't look for one to top it any time soon.

Korey asked why Abby owuld need an Adult... I think, first off, an Adult is a least needed to rent an appartment. Second, I think Abby simply needs to be with somebody, she is lonely and needs to feel loved.

Hi Reilly. You had asked about my remark on the "Let Me In" discussion. I did a documentary on the history of zombie cinema, and I came across some really interesting statistics. The one I references is pretty commonly repeated. Zombie films (and other "strength in numbers" film monsters) are very prominent during a Republican's time in office and during the slow transition from their time in office to someone else's, and vampire films, and other "personalized" movie monsters, are more popular during a democrats time in office. Of course, zombies are still very popular now, but there are far more big-budget, blockbuster vampire films being made than zombie films. However, during Bush's time in office, there were plenty of Hollywood zombie films being produced, and fewer vampire films. Google it sometime, it's fairly interesting. There's no need for the insults our profanity. We're all adul... well, I'd say you're about, what, 16? Judging from your comments and mannerisms.

@ Charles House, What the fuck does this movie being made have ANYTHING to do with Democrats holding a majority at the moment. Maybe you should think before spouting stupid Bullshit out when you don't understand what the hell you're talking about.

I give this a low Full Price It is a very good vampire movie that even though with kids was incredably good but nowhere as good as the original and the cg sucked but enjoyed it ps l love chloe I dont care how old she is I love her

Everett, the phrase is "sick and tired," and this is a remake of a successful Swedish film, which was based on successful book, and since the American film studios can't help but remake anything they think will turn a profit, it's hardly coming "out of the woodwork." Different kind of films are made in different kind of social and political conditions. Expect vampires and other personal, romanticized movie monsters for as long as Democrats are in office.

Finally, another vampire movie that's actually scary. We need more movies like 30 Days of Night and Let Me In.

"Let Me In" is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time when it comes to the quality of writing, acting, and use of cinematography. This movie managed to be as beautiful as it was eerie. The attention to detail was amazing as well as staying true to the story and letting it play out naturally. Though slow and quiet through most parts, the tension never lets up and the characters are always interesting! I highly recommend the movie to anyone, and see it twice, cause it's even better the second time through! ^_^

I'm so sink in tired of these stupid god damn Vampire movies that have been coming out of the fuck'n wood work! If you really want to watch a good vampire movie watch either the origianl black & white "Dracula" movie or better yet "Bram Stokers Dracula" (bolth are awesome horror films & with Halloween coming up this month it's the perfect time to watch them you little Twilight Saga loving basterds!!!)

Thought this movie was great. The acting was excellent and the story was interesting. The mood/atmosphere of the movie was cool too. Definitely a high Full Price if not Better Than Sex. (For me at least :] ) I want to read the book and see the original now.
