I loved this movie, and every second of it blew me away. The concept is AWESOME! Being able to access the entirety of your brain? That's awesome! The acting is superb, and it's directed VERY well. I have no choice but to give this movie a BETTER THAN SEX!!

Completely agree with you guys on this movie. One of the best I've seen this year, if not the best.

I don't think it is a full price movie, yet it's a very good movie.

I also liked Source Code a lot.

The more of these reviews I read, the more I regret not having seen this film while it was still in theaters. It actually looks and sounds like a really good film, and Rotten Tomatoes gave a pretty high rating as well. P :)

i'm sorely tempted to see this. but i have a unholy fear of bradley cooper like Cohost does. i mean for fucks sake he's just not that good. he's like a wannabe hugh heffner in every movie he's in recently. dont get me wrong he's a good actor. but i dont like his demeanor. but i'll see this...it seems good.

I just watched this movie. This movie is just awesome. I loved the cinematography. I tells a great sharp story, had an awesome open-ended ending and just was fantastic. Better than Sex for me. One of the best movies I have seen since District 9.

When I first heard of this film I wrote it off, thought the concept was just moronic. Just like Cyrus I hate hearing that we only use X% of our brain and I feel like choking people when they tell me that. But after listening to this review and hearing that it reminded you guys of my all time favorite film Fight Club I was sold. Went to see it and damn were you guys right this shit was bad ass. The visuals were incredible, it was a trip and a half, the narration was solid, and Bradley Cooper was awesome. (if they ever make a Jesus film Cooper can play him he looked like him at the beginning of the film) Thanks for the great recommendation guys, if anyone hasn't seen it go check it out. Anyone know where I can get some NZT?

oh, and it also shows you how you can use an ice-skating child as a weapon. Priceless.

    what's there to "get"?

It's not that profound or unpredictable a story... I guess it didn't bore me or anything but I can't say I would recommend it either. It's the same old story about an author faced with writer's block and his subsequent struggle with addiction. Except in this case there's a minor twist:

In this case the addiction is all glamorous and kinda OK if you think about it because you can learn to kinda keep it under control all by yourself after a while and that way you get to be super smart and buff and rich and eventually get the girl (who dumped you twice for being a doped-up loser but kinda changed her mind at some point for kinda controversial reasons. Kinda).

I think it's retarded to look for moral lessons in movies but if this film tought me anything it's that, as long as you think you're smart enough, your drug addiction will triumph over adversity and everything will work out fine in the end hahahahaha :P.

Don't get me wrong, it was OK as long as you don't waste a lot of thought on it. I give it a Matinee.

I saw this movie twice, the sucky part was that my date got too dizzy from the film so she had to call it a night early

I really did enjoy this movie...I just thought the end was a bit anti-climactic. I also thought they maybe could've had his girlfriend play a bit more of a prominent role. All in all though....pretty solid movie.
