I don't quite agree with Spill's rating here of "Some ol' Bullshit", even though I understand why they gave it that rating.  They are basing it on the "Hollywood" tenure of Dustin Hoffman in a role that seemed to UNDER-emphasize his capabilities. If the role played by Dustin Hoffman had been played by, let's say, Anson Williams, I think they would have given it either a full price or high matinee.  The movie was pretty good, and I liked it.

Even with all of the Negative Comments i'm going to come up here and givve my honest opinion and state that i loved this movie full inside and out. Call me stupid, shallow or someone who dosent really think or ask questions when viewing a piece of film but i loved this movie. I thought the acting was pretty good but i enjoyed the overall story and the "Magic" of it all. If i was up there i would give it a full price. I loved it.

boring! all this movie teaches until the end is once the owner dies. give up on his store despite his wishes and give up your imagination because only he can make the store work... who cares if the store dies with him? he is in the ground never coming back and i am useless.

I have to see this movie at some point just to validate my preconceptions about its crappiness. This looks like the most contrived piece of poop since Demolition Man, which has long held the award for "Most Contrived Piece of Poop Ever" in my book.

From the second I saw the trailer, I thought, "This looks like a horrible concept that will try and guilt you into liking it by appealing to your sense of wonder."
