i liked both movies...just didn't like all the alternate endings for the first one. i think the second one had to start slow to show that if strange things did happen people wouldn't think it was something evil at first...but once they start to realize that it cud be paranormal then things would become more frequent and violent. plus its supposed to be home footage so there's gonna be boring shit in it...otherwise if they showed only the scary stuff it would be fifteen minutes long.

As a fan of the first one I thought this one was just as good, however you're right that the demon is extremely lazy. I mean the build up is just way too long, I usually like when they're taking the time to set everything up until the very end  but the first 60 minutes just dragged, still I really enjoyed it and I give it a solid Full Price.

I actually found almost no scares in this movie. I guess I walked into the theater with too much anticipation because it took well over half of the movie for it to actually kick in for me, aside from that exploding cabinet scene. I did enjoy how the film explained itself and the original a little more. It's a Rental.

Just seen it today with my husband! I started laughing because I'm a new mom and actually have those moments that was actually in a comatose state and couldn't move! But the movie not as good the first and I wish it ended differently and not the same as the first. It's not as scary either s the first but when I saw the first one, I saw it at home on Netflix which makes it scary when you're watching it alone

Funny review. Seen the film and really didn't think much of it. It was too much like the first film, but more interesting characters. To me it is a rental. Plus when I saw the film, there were a bunch of loud mouths behind me, kind of ruining the experience for me. Freaking butt-muggers

@Exploding Knees I know that I am the man so thank you. @MultiTool You can find this film all over the net so you complaining about me talking about the ending well that's your own opinion but this film can be found all over. I didn't ruin anything that people could have not already known about.

I dunno.. I think maybe not enough thought is being put into things. I got the impression that the demon simply isn't capable of rushing in and just killing everyone with extreme prejudice. In fact I don't think its capable of killing at all until it succeeds in possessing someone. That said I don't even think it can do that until it has the victim in the right mind set, which is scared to shit. Thats what I took from it anyway. I viewed the slow build up as the demon working to build to fear momentum it required. Or perhaps the demon is just lazy ;) Either way I enjoyed both movies. Anyone whos lived in a creepy old house can easily see why a movie like this is scary. Watch it alone in the dark not in a theater full of people talking and joking around, then tell me this movie isn't scary.

*Yawn* It was boring. I fell asleep. If a movie makes me fall asleep... yeah. also, @ Kyle Scott, several reviews down: One case of Completely Missing The Point.
