Ray Stevenson is the best Punisher to me.  Jane was more emotional and gave a better performance, but War Zone to me is the most kick-ass Punisher film. The Thomas Jane movie was more of a carefully orchestrated revenge film rather than a punisher one. and don't tell me he wanted punishment. he wanted revenge...great plot and movie but it was not quite punisher to me.

I'll agree with the Spill Crew on the shit script. The action was pretty good for what extremely little time it had and Ray Stevenson, though he wasn't the best Punisher, still did pretty decent. I give it a high Rental.

There was already a Punisher movie, and some dumb director feel the need to make ANOTHER bad Punisher movie? This movie is down right Bull Sh-t.

This was some serious ole Bulls**t for me. I would go so far as to call this the worst comic book film of all time possibly. It's certainly right up there with Superman IV and Batman & Robin. It was just incredibly bad. At least Tom Jane has some charisma in the last Punisher and they utilized their very small budget pretty well. It of course was filled with problems also but I would take it over this embarrassment any day.

This was Some ole Bulls**t for me. I've seen all three of the Punisher movies and this one is only slightly better then the Dolph Lundren vehicle that came out some long ago. While Stevenson nails Frank Castle, The Thomas Jane film was the better of the 3. It's as if they were trying to hard to remind everyone this was a comic book first and lost the true seriousness of the material. With so many great revenge/action movies out there you think Those in charge of such things could have tapped a better crew to give this franchise a reason for existing outside of a comic book/ graphic novel.

damn how gory can u get i thought the blade movies were gory super hero movies but then i saw this. fantastic movie but some of the acting was sooooooo bad (the Jamaican badass who falls on the spick) that needs a punch in the face but otherwise FULL PRICE if you like gore if not stay way from this movie.

I just saw the Punisher last night, and I gotta say it was a good rental! Thank god I didn't see it in the theaters cuz I would have walked out pissed and ripped off. But I waited and checked it out on Red Box and I gotta say its a good movie for a dollar. The accents were retarded and the story was kinda weak. But the action was awesome; I loved the head explosions, they were too funny to miss. I did wish that they took the Punisher more seriously. Carlyle If they can make a serious movie of a guy who wears a bat suite with pointy ears and jumping off roof tops cuz his parents got killed. I'm sure they can make a good Punisher movie, they just have to get the right people to do it.

No! No! No! A disgrace to the Punisher franchise! The skull is all wrong, it's not Tom Jane (but rather some ruthless "hit man") and it's all just BULLSHIT

This was actually a better movie than i expected. and i expected it to be crap. Now, i never saw the other two movies- just so you're aware. There is some bad dialogue which, in of itsself isn't that bad- it's just when it's said for the most part. The character "Looney bin Jim" was a little too looney, but isn't that the point? didn't mind the steryotypical accents. satturated color wasn't that bad. Loved jigsaw. Wonderfully directed. Didn't like the recruiting scene. ray stevensen and newman were great. The "cop wanting revenge" storyline was underdeveloped along with some characters. Loved the splaterific action scenes. A very strong, very high, MATINEE

I think the Punisher movies are good for sitting on the couch with a few buddies and a 12 - pack. However, it bothers me because the Punisher could be such a realistic 'super hero' it just seems that they wrote this too cheesy.

This is the movie i wanted to see so much this month ( besides"the spirit") but do to the fact that it was cancelled at my local theatre ( Galaxy Cinemas) for some extremely stupid reason . I enjoyed the previous one from 2004 ( my favourite part was when the punisher had to go against the russian in his apartment) . But i will probebly rent The Punisher: war zone when it comes to dvd.

I liked Punisher War Zone better than the 2004 Punisher. Low Full Price for comic-book nerds and Matinee for everyone else. And you guys were right, Ray Stevenson was AWESOME as The Punisher

Personally I loved the last Punisher film it may have not been true to the comic but it was well made. It entertained me and my friends for years and thats what counts. I get nothing from this new version.

I haven’t seen any of the Punished movies, and I don’t any plans to see this one. …So now that I think about it, this was kind of a waste of a comment.
