High Full Price. This movie was just awesome from beginning to end. The only problem I had was that I wanted to see some more action from a movie like this. Also, the love story between Bruce Willis and this other girl was completely unnecessary. While the movie probably wouldn't exist without that plot, it gave me a bad feeling from the second I noticed he was hitting on her to the end. Bruce is old enough to be her father. He shouldn't be doing this kind of shit.

I had high hopes for this movie, but they let me down.  Part of the reason is that it was so over the top that it was nauseating, but you have supposedly American citizens that can't pronounce "Mobile"?  It's not "MO-bil"...it's "mo-BILL".  I should know, because I've lived there.

Also, John Malkovich was WAY over the top in this movie.

I just watched it. It was okay. I would have liked it better if they played it completely straight. They could have told the same basic story without all of the silliness and it would have been much better for it. I agree with Co-Host about Karl Urban (he did become to most interesting character by the ending), but I disagree with Cyrus about John Malkovich. I usually like him in movies, but here he was just annoying.

Well, this is a movie that tries to be cool and modern with experienced actors. Perhaps the producers thought that they could give the audience the best of two worlds: new exciting visual stuff along with actors with a lot of credibility. They failed miserably, because this is one of those movies that seem to be based almost solely on storyboards.(You, know, people saying Oh! This looks great! This looks fantastic!). When there's no good storyline linking special effects laden action scenes, the whole movie goes down the drain. (And when it works , it's magic. Just ask Kevin Nolan).

Ths is a full price for me. I went in with low expectations because of the review and was blown away. Bruce willis proves that yet again he can still play the man looking completly at ease in some high energy action sceans and we all know he can pull off the comedy as well. Each actor had a role to play and they relished it. Karl Urban was also very good, he has a very bright future in the action movie side of things. The fist fight scene between him and Willis was a classic.

First we had The Expendables, which was a bunch of washed up action starts trying to pretend they still had it when they didn't. Now we have Red, which is a bunch of actors who still could make a decent action flick, but were treated like washed up action stars. I'm with you. This could have easily been more along the lines of the American in the sense that these characters were older but still highly capable and adaptable (like Sean Connery's character in the Rock, only cooler), but they turned it into an action comedy instead, which it failed at since none of these characters looked like they belonged in one. I'd give it a rental too. I want all these actors to come back and make a REAL movie next time.

Another classic case of the review being better than the actual movie!

I really have to say that I don't agree with you guys on this one. One yes its funny. Its a action comedy. Was Morgan Freeman under used. a wholehearted yes! However Bruce Willis and John Malkovich were hilarious. This film was far superior than the A-Team, Expendables, and The Losers. This film was fun and enjoyable with far less carnage and explosions. This film is definately a high matinee.

Still wouldn't mind seeing this depsite the lukewarm repsonse. It almost has a The A Team side to it (both has some some of looney character in it).

"FUCK TEA TIME!!" lmfao... Actually a bloody tea time sounds pretty awesome. ;) I'm actually surprised for some reason... I expected a ton more praise for this movie, not sure why though. Maybe it's because Morgan Freeman always makes every movie better. THAT VOICE.

That ending with Korey and Betty White had me cracking up! I personally liked this movie a lot, but my problem was that it felt more like it was on the comedic side so that when someone (not gonna say who) dies, you don't feel anything at all. Still, it's a solid matinee.

I really liked the movie. I thought that everyone was brought in and did exactly what they should do. John Malkovich, i thought was great, mainly because ever since Burn After Reading I've always expected him to be just this crazy parinoid guy. Bruce Willis, he has that history of action movies, so it was way more easier for me to buy him as an assasin than morgan freeman. Helen Mirren, i liked her. Richard Dreyfus, I thought he was hilarious. Karl Urban I though was good. As far as acting, I thought everone did a great job. I actually liked the score in the begining of the movie. If you see this in theatres, see it early in the morning, because you'll leave with a smile on your face, and it will actually put you in a good mood.
