okay, u guys hold ur own view of this movie. i think i am one of the minority here, i am gonna watch it again, not because of its interesting but trying to get the main point that the movie wanna bring to us. i don't think it's a over excess melodrama or something . i didn't feel any sad at all but complexes .And, so far ,i can clearly see that the thing the director wants to show us are a little bit multiplicate which was not organized well in movie.

I'm sorry, but this review is cheap. If you look at the special feature on blu-ray (for everyone that isn't intelligent enough to get this movie) you'll see that it was a movie to commemorate the events that took place on 9/11. They choose these characters with multiple family issues, even though most of you probably only saw daddy issues, you see a true family dynamic, and the role that each person brings to it. I think that most of you out there are so disconnected from true human emotion that you won't let yourself relate to the emotions that are brought out in this film. I felt Robert did a great job, and most of you probably don't even know that he was cast in this before Twilight, and that he brought out what some people go through at the age of 21. A true uncertainty about life and where you are going. It's about how families, couples, relationships work and how people move on from death and other events in their life. I think most people here could never get deep enough to understand this film, you might be laughing, but older people can definitely see a side to fathers or parents in general that are workaholics, as well as the idea of spending time with your kids and how much it means to them that you are interested in what they are. I couldn't even begin to sum this movie up in a small comment, and neither could spill.com because you guys obviously missed the mark on this one. If you guys put down your macho shield and didn't come in expecting a macho action movie. Robert gets beat because of his narcissistic behavior. If you don't know what that means, you should go look it up and it would probably explain why most wouldn't get the movie. LOL

Most likely the only thing that Robert Pattinson is going to be remembered as is a sparkling vampire.

The movie does make a good point about the 9/11 attacks- they were out of nowhere and unexpected just like the ending of this movie. I think that's what the director was going for- to get you invested in a character and then have them die in that tragedy. It's trying to give you the feeling of someone who lost someone in the attack. the problem is that I didn't get attached enough to Rob's character to get the effect that they were going for. The rest of the movie was so poorly done that the ending just seemed cheap. If it had been a well done movie the rest of the way and I actually cared about the character, this movie would have been brilliant.

Ok Rob Pattinson is just one horrible actor in this movie great chemistry between the characters but I found the dialogue bad on Rob's part the whole time i was sitting in that theatre I was thinking wow i bet the next scene Rob Pattinson will fuck that up but it turned out to be a little okay where i might have gave it a low rental but after that ending damn i am giving this movie a fu*% you probably the worst ending i have ever seen

*spoilers here* Wow, yeah...as someone who lost a classmate in 9/11, that is definitely one of those "too soon" moments. I just read about the plot and the "twist" ending. I mean, I know we are approaching the 10 year anniversary, but WOW. That just seems totally unneeded. I will not watch this movie for that reason alone. I mean, have Robert's character get mugged in a subway. Hello, that would have been an ironic ending. But wow. Not good.

'THE GREAT TWIST' at the end of the film was toooo different and heavy for the actual film itself. The pace of 'Remember Me' is really mind numbingly, irritatingly, annoyingly, boring. I laughed so hard at the people who worked cinema, who where at the door of the cinema room. They held boxes of tissues. Offering hankies out to everyone ha ha ..i am secretly wondering if anyone actually did cry!? I know i did, ..tears of insanity! Stephanie x

Yeah yeah I saw it. Firstly I want to say I'm no fan of Pattinson or the Twilight movies. Now, I didn't think it was that bad...for a melodramatic, self indulgent, one dimensional story. Pattinson had some cringe-worthy moments (and was so bloody angsty and moody I wanted to slap him repeatedly). But there was good chemistry between him and De Ravin and I think it had some okay moments. I do agree that the ending was awful, out-of-place and used for all the wrong reasons. And OMG those silent, overdramatic images that try to induce some kind of emotional response really irritate me. Really manipulative. The ending I'd give a definate Bullshit. The rest of the film though I'd give at most, a low Rental. I guess I'm in the minority on that one though.

I'm pretty sure after all this we can assume that robert pattinson is just a terrible actor meant for shitty movies, i dont care for him or any of his ilk. Unless its a movie about rambo fist fighting an entire army with a tree branch, then i will refuse to see any movie that this "sparkling" douche is in.

Wow, there were a lot of times during this movie, where I seriously laughed out loud. The over excess of melodrama is almost amazing. Robert Pattinson is obviously trying too have some hope that he will have a career once the Twilight films are done, and I mostly want too see actors succeed, but with this material he is failing miserable. Sorry Robert but your 15 minutes of fame is almost up. As for the rest of the movie, the script doesn't call for any sort characterization. Most of the characters in the movie seem monotone and theirs nothing interesting about them whatsoever. The other huge problem is the hipster dialouge, where the character's (mostly the two love birds) speak in these abstract terms, and nothing really comes out of it. There's the first date and right off the bat we are doused in the movies self indulgence (notice we here everything that they order for dinner, even though it has nothing to do with the plot, they both order this exoctic dinners so the movie can manipulate us into thinking that these characters are individuals, give me a fucking break) Most of all the so-called tension scenes are nothing more than screaming matches, where you as the observer don't give a shit whether or not whose right, it's mostly there to show-case the performances, which are shit. Then there is the amazingly unneeded endings of all time. This again another sort of manipulation. It's basically thrown in there hoping that the audience will cry, or get sad, but it's stupid, and kinda offensive. I would give this a fuck you, but due to the amount of times where I was laughing uncontrolably due to heavy handed teen soap opera, I have to give this Some ol Bullshit.

I saw this last night, and I rated it as pretty good actually. The story wasnt that exciting, but the characterisation was great. I found it to be deeper than it looked. I dont really know much about the twilight movies etc, and I dont see RP in a different light because of those movies. Pierce Brosnan was superb, and played the father well; especially in the final scenes. Obviously many people didnt get what these characters were presenting - and it went over their head, hence the bad reviews. I think this is one of those movies that you need to relate to and understand on a personal level to be able to enjoy.

I was actually surprised by how RP did in RM. For the most part I thought he was decent. A far cry from the God awful Twilight, that's for sure. As for the ending, I think most people just didn't get it and that pissed them off.

Just read the synopsis...oh my god, FUCK THIS MOVIE, two things, 1. That ending was completely unecessary and just disturbing, I would not be surprised if people in New York City are angry at this movie, and 2. I agree with Carlyle, M. Night Shyamalan is 100% forgiven, no matter what he pulls in The Last Airbender, it's not going to be as bad as this movie (says in angry tone)
