Oh Korey..... Resident Evil fans should hate this movie; because this has absolutely nothing to do with resident evil timeline or storyline. The director stole character names, monsters, and a bastardized plot points that hint at Resident Evil.. i mean Tyrant could talk himself into a country club in this movie lol. This should be Dawn of the Dead- Extinction, but feeding off a popular franchise means money. Except for key names, this is not Resident Evil. Absolutely not faithful. Not even in the simplest aspects like after the Raccoon bombing, Umbrella Corp. was implemented in the Raccoon outbreak and the company went completely under. But RE 2 the movie occured before the game RE 4 and oops they f'ed up and couldn't fix their screw up. I love Romero zombies, but I didnt like the sole fact that this is another movie that a Director just bastardized to make into his own vision and to hell with the actual storyline of the source material.. like Doom, or Blood Rayne, or Mario Bros.... dear god

I didn't like this one. It was fun but the ending turned me off a bit. I liked the first best. The second was good but not all that. I would love to see a RE like the games where you don't know whats going to pop out and eat you.

I really wish they had stuck to the formula for this series. It would have been nice to see at least part one portrayed like the game and literary versions with the mansion in the forest. The whole series of movies was pretty thin, but two was the only one I wouldn't rent. Ironically, it's the only one of the three that I own. Should have waited for the trilogy.

Okay, so I'm a huge fan of the games, but was a little disappointed with the first two movies. BUT-I have to say that I saw this one yesterday and it was better than the first two (not that that was difficult, being as the bar was already set kind of low, IMO). The zombies looked cooler, the was some decent action, and some people bought it that I didn't think would die. However, as a big fan of the games, I do wish the movies had been better and more in line with the games. I mean, I like MIlla Jovovich (and when I first saw that the previws before the first one came out, I was going "Cool, MIlla's gonna play Jill Valentine-WRONG!!!), but really-who the hell is "Alice"??? No one from the games. And where the hell is my boy Leon Kennedy? He was a major character in two of the four main games, but completely AWOL in the flicks. I did like that they cast Ali Larter as Claire Redfield. I am with Korey because I am a huge fan of the zombie movies, so I did like it, but I just feel that the whole series could have been much, much better...

As I have stated before: if you make a movie based on someone else's material, follow their material or don't do it. PERIOD. ....However, there are a few rare cases and this is one of them. Now I do not see the first 2 simply because the trailers where awful and I'm not a fan of zombie games (movies yes, games no). But due to an attack of shear boredom, a promise I made and a free movie pass about to expire, I decide to give it a shot. And as a straight-out zombie-action flick, it wasn't bad. Milla was impressive, a few good scenes (that psychic stuff was ass-hair) and those birds were a nice touch. So this I say is a solid rental. BTW, the promise I mentioned? I met Milla Jo Milla Jovovick at a sci-fi convention 2 years ago and after a nice conversation (she's almost a bigger geek than me and so nice!), she made me promise to see her next RE flick before I condemned them all. Milla, next con, I got the pizza and Death Race 2000.

CoHost cracks me up. Now where would he 'steal' this movie from? I don't want to ruin this movie for anyone else, but I have to say the men in this movie got shafted big time. Made me want to be a lesbian.

I hate games being turned into movies, they always end up disapointing and just soul tearing, with the director's incompetence with making the movie truly faithful to the source material.

The first one was suprisingly entertaining- this one was aimless and purdy cheesy. No depth. (BTW I only played resident evil 1 and 2)a It had a lot of potential I thought- but came up short for me. Best character/actor was alice- So 2 stars. If she was actually naked in this film- then 5 stars for sure. lol

I read zombie survival guide and world war z. I look at resident evil like i look at return of the living dead. i totally expect the worst but hope they are slow and stupid. I found out that fast zombies are possible. that creeps me out.
