  It's funny because i just got the Pixeljunk game, Rock of Ages. Everyone that sees me online thinks I'm watching the movie. Which just makes me wonder why this movie wasn't a straight to DVD affair.

  I liked it. Then again I saw it for free so I'm not complaining. Julianne Hough is the best thing in this movie.

  @Ross O-Brien - Three Fuck You's (0/10) and a Rental (3/10) come out to a cumulative score of 0.75/10. We round up to the nearest full number, so that would put it squarely at "Some Ol' Bullshit" (1/10). Hope that helps explain it.

  I am diggin' on the Exec Sum video review format.  What I don't understand is your Weighted Average Rating...what calculus blends three 'FU's and one 'rental' to come out with a 'SoBS' average rating?   I might be a rating above Leon, Co-Host and Cyrus, but I totally agree that this movie was crap! The only good things about this movie were Tom Cruise's few moments of acting and some funny bits with Alec Baldwin. The singing was terrible, there were more horrendous jump cuts here than I have seen in a long time, the characters were poorly developed for poorly thought out story arcs, the cast was totally wasted, the "plot" was nothing but a flimsy bookend for one lazy musical number after another and the jokes just fell flat on their faces.

  The lowest points had to be that terrible reveal and music number for the Baldwin/Brand storyline, Catherine Zeta-Jones in any of her scenes, the "I think I saw something but I refuse to talk about it" bull crap we always get, Bryan Cranston pulling his pants down and getting spanked repeatedly, the gratuitous amounts of buttocks close ups throughout including Tom Cruise singing into a girl's butt and that really lame strip club sequence. Also, Julianne Hough has now been terrible in two music focused films with this and the reboot of Footloose. I think she needs to quit while she is ahead.

  It was just a waste of my time. One of the worst musicals to come out in a long time (especially since we do not get many musicals any more) and just a lazy product. Worst too because I like a lot of these songs, but this does them serious injustice.

  Probably one of the funniest reviews you guys have done in awhile.  Loved the 10 second format, worked really well for this.
