I hate these films and all they stand for, it is sick enough to see people getting off on torture, but the thing I hate the most is the thing spilled liked about the previous films and that is that these films justify cruel and inhuman punishments. I hate things which glorify mass murdering those you don't like and so one which does it while promoting torture too is abhorrent to me.

These films are not clever or thought provoking, their sick.

    ROFLMAO! Great review as always!

Never been a huge fan of the Saw series. They all feel the same, honestly.

Now I enjoyed almost all the movies except the last 2 which just suffered from Franchise milking. Really, the first 5 movies did have good stories with twists and turns and just because John Kramer is dead doesn't mean the story is fully written, pay attention and you'll actually see that the 4th and 5th has well thought scripts in them.

However, this movie was just mediocre and predictable. Yes, it had a certain vibe of comedy to it and every victim you see here you know what's gonna happen to ehm which just made it all tedious, I'd like to see some of ehm make it through for once and also why the hell did they have red paint for blood?

Anyways, one good thing is that the traps are quite inventive but I definately agree with the Spill crew when they say that it's quite discomforting watching people who has done nothing wrong going throught all these traps.

Crap is crap 3D or not, the movie sucks, it was supposed to be a horror movie, at some point it was kinda comical.

Listen, i was a fan of the first 3 movies, but after jigsaw died in part 3, i thought it was stupid to continue with more movies, and thats where it started to get dumb and pointless and they just wanted to milk the series for money! They should have never killed him in part 3 if they wanted to continue and make more movies cause parts 4,5,6,7 with all the flashbacks about his life and why he became a killer was some ol' bullshit !!!!!!

I never liked the saw movies. I always figured that since jigsaw is dead there is no need for 7 f*ucking movies. I dislike all of the movies.

to be honest lets face it, how many more movies can they make in this series? this is the only one in the series i have seen and i only went to see this movie cause my friends dragged me to it. i found the plot to be dull and boring but the gore was surprisingly better than expected

@Nixon Carmichael - Tea Bag Rat? Wow, not only was that unoriginal and immature, it was also uncalled for. My mistake for having an opinion different than yours. :/ As I said, I viewed it as a social commentary, and if you didn't see it as that, that's fine, but let's not go to name-calling like a five year old would.

" In fact, I actually never went to see SAW with the intent of seeing people get ripped to shreds." - Tea Bag Rat. LOL are you serious? Thats all they were. I'll give you this, the first one was OK, it was a new concept and still fresh at the time, but all of the sequels were just bullshit. I hate to say it, but SAW never really was a horror franchise, it was basically just torture-porn, if you're into that, then hey, thats cool, who the hell am I to say anything, but at the same time all of the sequels were just moneymaking gimmicks, just like the rest of the Hollywood racket. I hate to say it at this point, but there is no such thing as horror in Hollywood anymore. To get anything close to a horror movie, you have to go indie. Thats just the way it is at this point.

So I'll leave a comment, seeing as how I'm actually a fan of the SAW series. Now I know that Korey likes Hostel but doesn't care for SAW and oddly enough, I have the exact opposite opinion. In fact, I actually never went to see SAW with the intent of seeing people get ripped to shreds. Criticize me if you want, but I actually found it to be interesting from the first one and was surprised at how people backlashed it when it was a lot more mild than I expected and it was a lot more psychological than people credited it for. Plus I grew to love the victims and Jigsaw himself was quite a character. The second one made me excited at the end, and the third was one of the weaker ones out of the ones I like, but it still was satisfying to me. After that though, I just stopped completely. Mostly because of what you guys are saying about Tobin Bell -- The Jigsaw character was the most interesting character and his ideas were fascinating to me and I wanted to learn more about his story without learning the stories of others I could give less of a crap about, like Detective Hoffman and co. A lot of people criticize SAW for being 'just torture' but really, I hardly ever focused on the torture and despite what people say, there is a story there. In fact, it actually falls into a bit of a Mystery genre in a way, just a very brutal one. And honestly, it's a lot less to criticize when you think of it that way instead of just jumping on the "THIS ISN'T HORROR" bandwagon. And with all that said, I will not be attending this one. I still like to believe that the 3rd one was the final one and pretend the rest don't matter. By the sounds of it, I'm sure I won't like this one. I know you guys don't like the SAW series, but this does not sound like any of the originals that I have a guilty-pleasure in liking.

Ok, look, not to be the asshole of the this thread, but did SAW really NEED a review? I mean come on, we all know what this shit is, and you're either going to see it or youre not, and its just that simple.
