Does ANYBODY remember the first Shrek?? And how funny it was?? (as i watch it right now) Apparently the animators don't! Seriously first was brillant, that movie even makes my dad laugh! Second, I like when i was younger, but next two ARE CERTAINLY CRAP WITHOUT ME EVEN HAVING TO SEE THEM! I agree with the tracy morgan thing though lol...

I agreee with Richard Dempsey the first movie was great brought humour for both adults and children this one just sucked ASS it was unfunny lost all it's unique qualities that made the franchise great it was stupid, completely unfunny, juvenile and looked like they lacked effort I have never felt so DEPRESSED walking out of an comedy. While Toy Story 3 was excellent Dreamworks need to step their game up and FAST

Ususally I'm all up for keeping the franchise going, but this is running thin. STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!! Better than the third but it's a low matine. The next is called "Puss in Boots" WHY CAN"T DREAMWORKS MAKE A GOOD SEQUEL? TOY STORY 3 IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So this is another and hopefully the last shrek film... okay first Shrek film was pretty damn amazing. I loved da story line and all. The character 'Shrek', 'Fiona' and 'Donkey' were shown I personally loved them all. In Shrek 2, they introduced 'Puss in boots', 'Prince Charming' and some other characters are shown and it was great. Nothing special happened just showing new characters and some comedy. AND shrek 3 was a piece of shit in my opinion. Nothing happened in that movie. They made that movie for money... and shrek's babies were shown in the end but don't think anyone cared. Shrek Forever after was just basically same as shrek 2. Money and comedy. I haven't watched it in 3D but people say it was actually quite good. So in overall this movie is fun to watch. but not as great as first shrek. Good film to watch with kids.

I think the negative criticism for the third one should be directed toward this one instead. The third one had some kind of a meaningsful plot while this one feels merchandised for money, don't get me wrong I definately don't think thid is Some ole Bullshit, I'd give this a Matinee since it was quite enjoyable despite how unnecessary it was. My ratings for the Shrek movies would be: Shrek - High Full Price/Shrek 2 - Better than Sex/Shrek 3 - Low Full Price/Shrek 4 - Matinee

So we have finally come to the end of the shrek series, and thank heavens. The series is starting to get old, and a little annoying, so i'm crossing my fingers this is the ultimate ending. I'll just quickly give my review. I liked it. I payed for a Matinee to see this, and I had a good time watching it despite the annoying kids, so I'm going to say this is a medium to high Matinee. It's not perfect, but for the final chapter, it'll have to do...

The first two movies were amazing, the third one was just a pile of shit. I was actually surprised by this one. It wasn't nearly as good as the first two movies but it wasn't terrible.

I loved the first 2 shrek movies, but the third one sucked. I am surprised that I even went to see the fourth one, and what confused me is that I liked it. To me it was a full price film. It did have it's scenes that went a little slow, but it had the humor of the first two in it.

After seeing this film in 3D, I can say that it was all right. Didn't really add anything to the table or make me laugh much but like I said it was okay.

This was way better than Shrek the Third and I hope that this really is the last one. Low Full Price.

I agree with crew on this one, for me, best scenes were in the trailers. For adults with no kids, just youtube the trailers and consider it good. For parents, its better than most kid fare as there are a few good moments while your kids get a few laughs, but it is in no way in the same league as the first 2 Shreks. For me it was it was like the 3rd - completely forgettable.

Shrek came from being a really entertaining movie character to a kid's show character. 'Cause you know, kids they don't really care about plot or stuff like that (at least the younger ones). All they care about is color, music, funny sounds, and action. And now there's 3D. (Well, at least that's what seems to be on this film's producers minds). So, the target audience has changed. There's no way I am watching this. It's better to go and watch again the first two.

This movie is mediocre in every single way. There are a few chuckle moments but nothing to really laugh at. The 3D is totally not worth it as the animation is only average and was done much better in DreamWorks' last animated hit "How to Train Your Dragon". I'm kinda surprised it even got matinee.... boo!

This was def a F**K YOU!!!!! If any of these actors were still relevant in any way then I could forgive them for doing this.. but it really feels like a class reunion for the sake of fading fame.. btw special F**K YOU!! goes out to the piper, what a waste of a character..
