No offence, but I have a few buddies who have served more than 2 tours in Iraq. When they got back we threw them a kegger, and all I heard about was all the shit that the news doesn't report. 2 of them were married at the time, and now 1 is divorced and the other is on the rocks. War for bullshit eqauls heartache. I feel for our brothers & sisters over seas, but FUCK Washington and the leaders who let this bullshit happen!

GET THE POINT!!! excellent acting, directing, or editing is not the POINT. STOPLOSS is REAL and has some a devasting impact on many of the Great People that are trying to serve in the military for YOUR GREATER GOOD and well-being. What's the diffence between Stop-Loss and involuntary incarceration ? If you don't get it, you probably don't know anyone serving for your Defense in the past few years.......go to your local recruiting station or military installation and GET INFORMED!

Whether this film is EXCELLENT acting, directing, cinematography, or editing is not the POINT of the film. STOP-LOSS is real.....I have seen the LIVE version over and over again. AMERICA needs to SEE and to FEEL and to BELIEVE that it exists. Only from that point, can AMERICANS decide and act to intervene and DO THE RIGHT THING for the people that serve the country.

I saw this film and while I think it is good, it falls short of the GREATNESS it wanted to have. I think Ryan Phillipe gives the best performance inthe film, which when Joseph Gordon Levitt (a better actors by leaps and miles) is in the movie, is kind of surprising. I thought the beginning was terrific. Loved the pacing and the execution of the fight, but really...after that the movie got kind of weird. I agree that Tatum was kind of poor here.

Funny thing is, the last 30 seconds of the review, you guys basically described a short story from Hellblazre (original sin I think it is) in which vietnamn vets all have the same flash back and hallucinate and end up killing their loved ones by mistake.

For those that don't know, Channing Tatum is playing as Duke and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is playing as Cobra Commander for the upcoming live action G.I.Joe movie.

I liked it. I wanted to make sure I didn't listen to the review here before I went. I disagree with Leon on dude that was in Step Up. He was 1000 times better in this movie (and I'm not admitting that I saw Step Up). Ryan Phillipe is really coming into his own. I enjoyed it.

By the way with a Stop-Loss you don't get out, the stop-loss prevents you from getting out, you are involuntarily extended for another trip to the sand box.

I don't think Channing is very good either. In She's the Man, it was so hard to watch him try to play a funny role. But girls will still go to see his movie.... that's not why I want to see this movie though........ *cough*
