Amanda Bynes is amazing and I love the fact that Sara Paxton can play both the good and bad girls perfectly. The combination of the two make up for the lamer plot line. I love the fact that Amanda's character helps us to realize that everyone wants to be accepted and that most of the stuff girls do (picking on each other) is based on this need to feel accepted. Amanda's character's suggestion that we should all be ourselves and not be dictated by the impulse to be cool is a really important message for everyone to learn. P.S. Hey Korey, I'm in University and I loved this movie. I'm not retarded either.

To Dave: You have to give Carlyle some credit, I mean he did give The Mist the Some Ol Bullshit rating, and yes, The Mist is Some Ol Bullshit, hell I thought it was worce! And to the Eyebal Kid, yes, High School Musical is unbearable, it'll guarantee to piss people off, and the only ones interested in that bullshit is 13 year old screaming girls who like Zac Efron for his "cuteness" and the poor bastards called boyfriends that they dragged down there with them, and that's my theory for the next Hish School Musical movie that's going to be on the big screen, and I have no respect for people who actually like this bullshit!

I can't believe Carlyle would give a piece of crap like this a Matinee and a piece of cinematic perfection like No Country For Old Men a Some Ol' Bullshit. Should probably dig a little deeper into the movie and realize why the ending is perfect before he embarrasses himself even more.

So it's not for the kids and teenagers and adults won't enjoy it. Who the hell is the movie made for? Also I think Carlyle has gone a little soft.

Oh man, I can't believe this movie made it passed the smoking circle this idea was born from. Besides I am tired of all the "new girl v. popular girl(s)" story line, especially after Mean Girls, it's going to take a much wittier movie then this one appears not to be to get me to go see it.

I like Amanda Bynes, she is refreshing enough and goofy to carry a movie on her own. I wouldn't mind seeing this but won't-I will rent it though. I doubt it is as bad as bratz. This is a movie that would appear on nikelodeonlol thats no joke, their right

Doesn't matter, Amanda Bynes STILL HOT. Btw, I caught She's The Man a weekend ago and actually thought it was pretty entertaining. Blatant copy of the awesome 80's movie Just One of the Guys, but it was still entertaining.

Seriously, watch this video, does Amanda Bynes have a facial expression besides "wide eyed surprise" ? In every frame of every preview I've seen for this thing she just looks shocked beyond all comprehension. Maybe she's as perplexed as I am about why she keeps appearing in movies.

Y'know, I sheepishly have to admit that I kinda want to see this. I'm a sucker for "popular girls getting their comeuppance" movies, and the bitchier she is, the better. And this one looks sufficiently bitchy. Besides, I kinda feel bad for Carlyle, getting all ganged up on. Maybe I'll put it on my rent list.

As much as I like Carlyle and respect his standing up for his views and opinions, I have to wonder how much acid he did back in college. My skin was crawling during these movie clips, I've seen Holocaust footage that didn't disturb me as much as this flakey looking chunk of crap. As far as Amanda Bynes goes, I don't think she's funny, I don't think she can act, but at least she isn't a waifer thin skeleton like half the actresses her age, and I haven't seen any press photos of her making a fool of herself. I guess I'll just go see 3:10 To Yuma again this weekend.

I never wanted to see this movie and still don't, but I have to admit their fantasy re-inactment was pretty funny lo.

I like how everyone notices the token black nerd. Heh, I used to be one of those. And I don't know why Carlyle thought Leon would lie this movie. Maybe he would - but I strongly disagree. Enter at your own risk, Crystal.

  • September 22, 2007 at 6:12 PM, Ricky said ...

So why did Carlyle say that Leon would lie this movie?
