Lowclef, ironically survivor is what I thought too <<

=I hate films which rip off other films badly, I hate the rip off does not even have balls to go with main thought provoking idea behind original. The whole point of original battle royale (which is not a classic film ether, but least had point) is meant to say, how far can you push another to make them live. By making these adult criminals, you basically just throw away that and say, lets promote criminals killing each other (something else I hate, just because someone is criminal doesn't morally justify you being criminal towards them) and then this film really gets by doing ultimate coward thing. This basically that it was to scared to keep up the contentious innocence concept of original and so made all criminals because killed criminals is fine -_- but then got to end, realise even then still a small amount of controversial debate around this area and so stuffed in a moral line, we are the bad people for watching violence.

So the group making millions from the idea of voliance (basically making them the villains of this story) are such moralistic cowards that they actually then try to take a moral high ground and say being ironic, that is FUCK YOU to the end.

I'm pretty sure the idea of this movie came from some screenwriter who played too much GTA and happened to listen to one of the radio station ads promoting "The REAL version of the TV show Survivor." Leon was right, this movie is just vile. All of the violence is just waaay out of line. Don't get me wrong I'm a HUGE fan of movies with gun violence and knife fights and explosions and everything. In fact, 90% of my DVD collection is big action movies like Predator, Desperado, The Last Man Standing and The Professional, but this movie was downright unwatchable.

This movie seems similar to a lot of others that came out recently. The basic plot is to get a bunch of violent people, get them together and have them do crazy things (whether it is racing dangerous cars, playing football, etc.)

I saw the the tagline for this movie and was disgusted. It would have been okay if they had left the you get to watch part out but they didnt and to me thats promoting people killing each other just so they can watch.Ill probally get criticized for syaing that but its what i think.

C'mon guys, this is what it is. A simple, non thought provoking, action fest. They never expected an oscar when they made it and good on em. There are two many so called award winning films that people pretend to like so they look cool. With this film, you can sit back, smile and enjoy criminals beat the crap out of eachother. I would give it a good rental....

Haven't seen this movie yet, but it definitely doesn't look all that great. I'll send it to the bottom of my list.
