I loved this film and think it is one of defining films of our age, about a topic matter which shaped our age. When I heard they were making a facebook movie, I wanted it to fail on principle, when watched it, fell in love with it.

The acting, the plot, the pace and the emotions shown are all fantastic. The fact is they got too mundane concepts, court (I'm lawyer, so trust me when tell you, lawsuits are boring, my life is one big waiting room lol) and an internet site and then they somehow turned it into a really compelling drama and social review.

Both Eisenberg and Timberlake were stunning, you really got feeling that these were real people, why? Simple, because they were not very nice people, but not because they were straight up a-holes for sake of being a-holes, but because of own failings as people.

Parker was a coward who was scared of his own weakness

Zack was coward who was scared of other people. (I think the movie is implying that he made facebook, because was easier for him to converse through internet, rather than 'face' real people.)

Better than sex!! fantastic acting, great dialogue, unique story, it had everything. justin timberlakes performance is hugely underated and has the potential to do great things in hollywood. The club scene and the music was electifying in the cinema!!

So I rented the social network movie yesterday evening to watch with my boyfriend.  Since we both work in the web industry, we were anger to see this movie.  Overall, I liked the movie.  I learned some facts I didn't knew about Mark Zuckerberg story such as the fact Sean Parker, the guy who started Napster, worked with him and is part of Facebook organisation.   David Fincher created another really good movie.

Man, I just saw this again, last night, and it resonated even moreso on the second viewing. Admittedly, the last few scenes don't quite offer a punch of a climax, but the styling and pacing of the scenes really click so much. And yeah, Fincher and Sorkin make a dynamic duo, and Eisenberg, Garfield and Timberlake really fit in so perfectly. So does Armie Hammer: he deserves to go farther. High Full Price.

I absolutely love this movie. Dave Fincher is one of my favorite director and this does not disapoint. It drags slightly towards the end, but I think each scene still brought something valuable to the film. Fantastic performances all around by the actors/actresses. It's definitely a high full price.

as great as this film is but i will give it just a full price and only because i wish david fincher would go back to his roots when making films like THE GAME, Fight club and one of my all-time favourites SE7EN!!!!

Well, I watched it and I guess you just can't get interested in something like this unless your a fan of the source material so therefore I'm gonna give it a Rental, I really hate Facebook but I decided to give this a chance becauce it's Fincher.

Why would you say you wanted a movie NOT to win something if you haven't seen it. Thats the great thing about movies, they can completely surpass your expectations and be very good. What if you saw it and it was better than The Town or Inception? Toy Story 3 should NOT win Best Picture because a: its a sequel that is NOT as good as the first one, b: its a fluff piece and not a cinematic masterpiece. Don't get me wrong, its very good. Inception is good too, but I don't think it will be picture of the year or deserves that. Also, what the hell does using Facebook have to do with watching a movie about its creator? I don't live in or work at a concentration camp, but I enjoyed Schindler's List. I'm not gay, but I like gay porno . . . wait scratch that

I like Jesse Eisenberg. He is a good actor. But I'm not a FaceBook person. If people sya this is a good movie, then it is a good movie. I just have no intention to see it. I hope it doesn't win the Oscers. I would be happy if The Town, Inception, or Toy Story 3. But not this.

Agree on several of the points made. Running time was a tad extended, but all of the actors seemed to fit perfectly with their roles, while Fincher and Sorkin really kept me interested. High Full Price. .

Thank you Nikali. Damn. Was that so hard to get through everybody's head? TWO different people DO NOT look EXACTLY alike...UNLESS THEY'RE TWINS. Geez. Spill Crew, if this is the level of the intelligence of your fan base...you need to....level UP. I'm just sayin'. LOL

Josh Pence was a stand-in/body double so the twins could interact like say hand one thing from one to the other. But the performances were both Armie Hammer's, sometimes his face was used to digitally replace Pence's but most of the time it was his body as well. Pence was given credit as an acknowlagement of the work he put in, but it was Hammer's performance the whole way for both actors(fyi this is from the horses mouth as I was at an event with a Q&A with Aaron Sorkin, Armie Hammer and Jesse Eisenberg 2 weeks before the film came out)

The twins were played by Josh Pence and Arnie Hammer. They used CGI to have them look like twins. There are multiple stories about this and it's listed on IMDB. sorry guys!!

@Liquid Uh maybe you didn't like the line because you got it wrong? The line was: You're not an asshole; you're just trying so hard to be one." That line was probably true. Why? Well, first of all it came at the end of the movie. He was quite the BILLIONAIRE by then and he could AFFORD to try to be. Also, his idol...his god if you will, Sean Parker came off that way and Zuckerberg probably thought it was what made Sean the dragon slayer that he was. Imitation is the best form of flattery. In the beginning? That first thingy with the girl? While he SOUNDED like an asshole, he was really just an insecure NERD. His response when she asked him which club was easiest to get into proves this point. Insecure nerds often ACT like raging assholes. The boy had ISSUES. LOL Hope this clears things up for you!

@Liquid I think that line defined Zuckerberg maybe more than any other line of the film. It isn't so much that he is pretending to be an asshole, as he is acting like an asshole to gain acceptance. That is the irony of the chracter, he is so consumed with proving his worth and gaining acceptance that he alienates those that accept him and value him. The first scene is a metaphor for the entire film. Check out my full review for my thoughts a little clearer: http://www.nickel-eyenews.com/2010/10/social-network.html

Just saw this. Definitely a Full Price! Does kind of just end suddenly and you wish it would go on a little more. But very good nonetheless. Now. SPOILER ALERT.... Is it just me or where did this line of "you're not really an asshole but you very good at acting like one" come from? It's ridiculous. Dude is a straight ASSHOLE! Damn the sugarcoating. Just own the f%#k up to it. That was the only line of dialogue I absolutely did not like.

@ DonC_T5 The only flack I'll give you is that you're wrong! Both were played by Armie Hammer. If they were played by two different people, they wouldn't have looked like TWINS. D-uhh. Maybe it's because I'm a Facebook addict, but this movie made me extremely sad. Sure, it was well written, well directed and well acted but wow. The idea that you must crawl over people to get to the top bothered me so much, I almost didn't enjoy the movie as much. Plus, I am with Korey in that outside-the-courtroom drama was not much fun to sit through. However, it has definitely made me re-evaluate Facebook. I don't think I'd give it a full price, but definitely high matinee. It would have been full price had it not slowed down *so* much to where I was fidgety and wondering when it was going to end. Great review guys! Love yas, *muah*
