ok ok ok ik i am a 13 year old irish girl, but i liked this movie. Who cares if Micheal was black? Isn't it more about one person helping another? Yeah it was predictible, but Sandra Bullock was great in it. maybe a full price, but it has its flaws, so high matinee.

@ DSS if you didnt notice their was 10 best picture nominees this year. Theirs only surpose to be five. Also last year alot of people hated the oscars because the dark knight didnt get nominated for best pic. So this year to get more viewers they choice ten movies 5 that had a chance ( avatar, hurt locker, inglorious basterds, precious, and i think A Serious Man). They picked the other five that didnt really have a chance ( Up, District 9, The blind side, and I forget the other two) but they knew that if people saw those got nominated they would tune in and see if it would win since they were popurlar. Pretty much if you dont get at least nominated for best director your not going to win best picture. avatar, hurt locker, inglorious basterds, precious, and A Serious Man directors got nominated for best director.

Full Price. The story was great and Sandra Bullock gives a great preformance. The rest of the family gives a good, not great, preformance. The problems is that, why couldn't they get actors that look closer to the actual people? Hell I would have accepted Ice Cube to play Michael Oore, and John Goodman to play Jon Twoey. Another problem is that they have a fat guy playing an idiot. Why can't they have an in shape guy play an idiot? I hate football still to this day, but I loved this movie.

I liked this movie. Sandra Bullock was great in her role. It's based on a true story about a family who do a really good thing for someone they pick up who was living in the streets. It's a feel good movie. It's better than most of the crap in the movies these days, and at least it wasn't a remake. I'm sick of remakes. This was a nice surprise movie to see in theaters compared to what else was out at the time.

Sandra Bullock adopted a Black baby boy named Louis Bardo Bullock, as a single parent. The Blind Side (2009) was her insperation to adopt a Black baby boy.

First off, God bless the real family because they didn't have to take him in. Now honestly I'm tired of the Let's Rescue the Negroes movies, bad enough we had Radio ! This reeks of an Movie of the Week/Lifetime production. And making Oher so tepid and timid an character is damn annoying. Where was his anger over his living conditions? Where was the black community? I'm sorry I couldn't watch this and not be pissed off. And what I hate most of all is that bad films like this have made people( myself included )into cold, hard people that have trouble watching what should've been an touching and uplifting story. FAIL

I like how the comments are related to religion/politics and not the movie. And after just one thing mentioned in the movie. Funny stuff. I haven't seen the entire film, so I can't rate it. Just had to mention the oddly funny comments.

Are you guys stupid this movie is a TRUE STORY. This means them showing the ghetto when they bring Oher home and stuff isn't the movie trying to show up black people and say they are all hood. It is how Mike really grew up. This was a good movie even though it did have some flaws. Some of you are just dumb

This is the first time i have ever disagreed with your reviews guys, but damn.... seriously? This movie was a great and touching movie. They could have switched Kathy Bates for the role of Mrs. Tuey, but it's really not that big of a deal. I give this a strong Matinee. There is no reason not to see it on the big screen, and there is no big reason to see it. It's a good movie. Hollywood needs more films like this and less movies like Twilight, New Moon, Disaster Movie, etc.....

Read your History, the institutions in southern christian culture are as strong or stronger yet as before the Civil War. We forget that we are a relatively young Nation, progressive's mostly live in the now. Conservative is what it is, it seeks to hold on to Traditions and it's Traditional Values, for the most part thats ok i guess. The mistake the right wing christian conservative movement makes is its lack of tolerance, and its inability to connect to the Great Melting Pot. There is legitimacy in many of its teachings, but the Hate and Dogma that it promotes inhibits its progress and influence outside its immediate corp constituency, the Salt of the Earth, you know, Morons....... Where All Da White Women at....( Blazing Saddles )

Reading down the string, the Wiki says the westboro guys are a gay hate group. So, what does that have to do with the Movie. Anyway, where I come from we dont have those gay issues. The middle east is where Men are Men and Sheep are scared. Wasn't it also your Rev. Fallwell that fell flat on his face when he said God hates Gays?

Sandra Bullock has Jungle Feaver, remember ladies, once you go Black, your gonna need a wheel chair. It is true she does like the black guys, hey, maybe she does movies like this to meet guys. They should have named the Movie "Black Kryptonite" with a supporting cast that includes Tiger Woods and Kobe Bryant. The Movie iteself was uninspiring, getting decent roles is tuff these days.

My one problem with the film was that I couldn't stand SJ (the son). He's such a stage kid that it felt phony like he was more of a sassy adult than a real kid. Otherwise it wasn't bad.
