I just watched this movie and I really liked it. Had a lot of great suspense, good action, and great characters. I only know of this movie and watched it because your review of the movie. You guys perfectly described this movie both good and bad.

Had my fingers crossed for it since the trailer looked good. Acting was bad by the main chars, bad story, terrible ending. It does have some pretty tense moments such as in the pitchfork scene but I saw it for free cuz my friends are bastards like that, and I wouldn't suggest paying anything for it either.

Man it is sooo hard to find a good horror flick these days. But the know what, the crazies was an exception. I'm not a very easy scare, but The Crazies kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. It was really suspensful and gripping. I don't know what you people are smoking, but this is definitley a Full Price for me.

[**spoilers**] No, no, no, this movie was disappointing compared to what I expected. I know horror movies aren't supposed to be realistic, but the acting and plot of this movie was far away from what you would call believable. The deputy was retarded, the wife wandered around alone too much for a pregnant woman in a place packed with calculated killers that wanted to eliminate everyone that wasn't one of their own. Story was pretty straight forward: army plane crashes releasing a secret biological weapon in the water supply of a small town, quickly transforming infected people into bloodthirsty killers. Government troops come in, do more harm than good, quickly loose control of the situation and get overrun by the crazies. They separate the non-infected from the infected based on body temperature only to execute the healthy too, later. In the end they nuke the whole place out. Frankly, I saw that coming ever since the government got involved. It was so predictable, yet ridiculously unrealistic. It's like telling the whole world "look, we accidentally released this bio-weapon on american soil, got a few thousand people infected, but no worry, we got the place nuked out affecting the whole state with radioactive fallout". If that was going to happen in real life, the government would do everything possible to make sure no one finds out about it, and nuking a place is the only sure way to make sure everyone in the world knows about it.

Low Matinee. While this movie was a great horror movie, it didn't pull off what I wanted. The deputy was a complete idiot and pissed me off several times throughout, the wife was a crybaby bitch that should do what she's told like when she's told to stay, she should stay and not wonder off like she did. I did love the ending and all the deaths.

Good movie, I saw the first half of the original movie and turned it off. The movie overall was good, I liked the scene with the dad burning down the house. Believable characters, good violence. Definite full price for me, I saw it twice in theaters.

Yea I thought it was interesting but the way that the road, the story unfolded and the ending ruined it for me. So its just a Rental for me :(

This movie.....needs to be put down to rest...IT was all over the place. At first it wanted to be a zombie movie, then it wanted to be a runaway movie, then a resident evil type movie...that mixed in with the bullshit acting and the predictable scare tactics, this movie gets a Fuck You!

Carlyle should get is own show. Well, I mean he should stay here too, but have his own badass-ery on the side. That said, this looks like a creepy movie.

I have to get it Rental. I don't know, it just did not impress me. I loved Olyphant and Anderson, but I found it to be too slow for my taste.

I'm with Korey on the jump scares. It's the downfall of this film for me. It's fine to have 2 or 3 of em in a film, but the crazies just had so many of em. The problem with having so many jump scares is that they start to become predictable and they really begin to ruin a lot of the tension that they are supposed to help create. I found myself waiting for the next jump scare, knowing that until the next jump scare happens, everyone is safe. It ruined the tension for me.

@Daedalus - A "low Full Price" means that it's Full Price, but just barely. There's something about it that barely scrapes it up past Matinee level, but it's not good enough to warrant being a definite Full Price or high Full Price, or even a Better Than Sex movie. There are minor variations inside each rating bracket. For instance, a "low Rental" means that it's just barely better than Some Ol' Bullshit and may not be worth bothering with unless it seems like it's your kind of movie. Or a "low Matinee" could mean that it's just barely better than a Rental and it's worth seeing in theaters, but just barely. Hope that clarifies it a bit.

Can I just ask, what exactly does a low Full Price actually mean? I mean, you're saying it's worth seeing at full price, I get that, but should I see it when there's a discount for full price films at my local cinema? Or does the low mean I should see it at full price if I can't get into what I really want to see?

Saw this on Sunday, and was very unimpressed. Paper thin characters, shoddy direction, inconsistant plot elements, predictable jump scares and zero tension. Out of all the films to remake, this one was the least possible to screw up. Some Ol' Bullshit.
