I agree, to me it is also a Full Price! I have never seen Christian Bale make such a performance, he was great. Mark Wahlberg gave a nice performace also in my opinion.

loved the film and it was scary at the end when you see the real guy christian bale plays is exactly the way he was acted. Bale deserves an oscar for this performance, though i thought mickey rourke deserved an academy award for the wrestler and was proved wrong :(

This was Some 'Ol Bullshit to me personally.

    Great things were: Christian Bale

Good things were: Melissa Leo, Amy Adams, the pace, one scene involving a boxing match which had a great filter used to make it feel like an old match.

Bad things: The fights, the story, the dialogue.

Total waste of time! Great review guys, but I totally disagree with your ratings.

I saw this yesterday and I agree, Full Price. Christen Bale should at least get nominated for a academy award.

So I've seen this movie last week end with my boyfriend and we both just loved it!  I thought Christian Bale & Mark Wahlberg were genius!! The image's old look contributes to the movie's atmosphere.

Overall, a must-see movie with great talents, an inspiring story and great art direction!

    Love it!

Loved this movie!!, Bale really deserves an Oscar for this one!! And hopefully The woman who plays the mother will get some recognition too. My review: http://wp.me/p19wJ2-71

Yeah, i think that Cristian Bale definitly deserves a best supporting actor oscar nod for his performance in this film because that is some true talant and great acting in this movie, and yes Amy Adams is fine as hell always !!! Mark Wahlberg is ok !!

You know I think those ugly ass sisters should make an appearance in David O. Russel's Uncharted as those cursed creatures.

It's funny that Mark Wahlberg supposedly prepared for this role for like seven years and still managed to only play himself. Mean while, Christian Bale only had probably a few months of preparation and completely became Dicky. It's just a good example of when you have a barely passable actor toe to toe with a true talent. Bale is the biggest draw and reason to see this movie with out a doubt. The biggest problem with the movie is that Wahlberg is the main character so we don't get as much of Bale's amazing performance as we'd like. Every time Bale isn't on screen you're just waiting for him to come back. Christian Bale definitely deserves the supporting actor Oscar for this.

@Heavy D! Yea i agree with you 100%. I hope they do continue & start giving away prizes for this because this is really one of the most creative contests idea ive ever heard of. If they do id just like if everyone had a fair chance to win.

@Justin M: Well, you know what they say about your thoughts around here...

But seriously, you make a good point. I personally don't mind because A) I like seeing how clever the animators can be in hiding that crazy ass goat in the reviews, and B) I don't think there's any prize attached to these contests.

If they do want to award a prize in the future, maybe a post about the contest can go up earlier in the day announcing when the review will go up so people who want to participate can start at the same time. Spill's usually pretty good about announcing contests in a timely fashion, I'm sure they'd do something like that if there's a prize beyond bragging rights.

Great review, however im really disliking the goatsy contests because of the fact that there is really no chance to win unless you're one of the first people to watch the video. I mean why would i even try to look for goatsy when i see 17 comments that already say where he is? Thats just my thoughts, hope to see more contests and top quality reviews.

i enjoyed the movie, i thought Bale and Wahlberg did really well together. I also liked how the director switched the emphasis from Bale to Wahlberg slowly and then it's centrally on Wahlberg ^_^ Is it wrong that every time i heard "dickie" that i giggled?

Great Review. Goatsie is freaking me out a little with all the sneaking around the spill studio he is doing. It gives me that "someone is watching" feeling.
