Why is it that everyone gives this movie a bad rating? I saw this movie about 4 times because it was great horror movie. This movie had strange and creepy effects in the movie as well with the overall story was terrifying. However, the movie did deliever some flawes but nothing that hurt the movie to badly. This movie is defiantly a high matinee!

Loved when Korey said this was based on a true story and Co-host went "Bulls**t". That was my reaction as well. My friends got me to see this movie and i laughed at it. They kept saying I shouldn't because this was based on a true story, and i laughed at them

I'm a big horror movie guy. This one is Rental/Download. Drag Me to Hell looks better than Haunting.

Paranormal, supernatural, cryptozoology is a hobby of mine. If I'm not mistaken, this movie is based on an episode of a reality show on Discovery called "A Haunting." I could be wrong but there is too many plot similarities to the mini documentary. I especially remember the thing about the funeral parlor in the basement they made into a room for 2 of the kids. In fact I think the name of the episode is the exact same as the movie. If anyone is interested in the real story vs. the Hollywood version, I believe Hulu.com has A Haunting episodes available. That cat is awesome tho!

I thought this movie was great even though it wasn't really based on true events (which I figured) and the movie still scared the shit out of me at some parts. Best horror film I've seen in a couple years.

Some ol' Bullshit. Did anyone else notice the little girl burning up in the house at the end. 1) Go play hide and seek little girl. 2) Big Brother gets little brother and cousin out of house. 3) Big brother sets house on fire. 4) Burn little girl, burn. Another thing that I love - This house is evil, stay here while take your brother to the hospital, then later on I'll come back and get you. WTF? Oh yes, lets not forget drunken father comes home, removes and destroys all lightbulbs in the house, and then promptly leaves. Bullshit bullshit some ol' bullshit.

I actually kind of liked the movie, but after the first night in that place and i saw a ghost i would be booking it out of there. It really bugged me that everynight these people had a peaceful night's sleep. Rental only!

Great review! However, I don't agree with the CO-HOST's rating of "f@&k you!". This lowest rating should be canonized but its value shouldn't be debased with overuse or unwarranted use. 'A Haunting in Connecticut' is some ole bullshit. 'Love Guru', 'Meet the Spartans', and 'Epic Movie' deserve "f@&k you" because no effort is even displayed.

Korey, please make "Fuck you" a rating, it is used so often and exoresses such an important message that "bullshit" simply cannot display.

Well, Korey if you like real scares and not like jump scares. You should. You HAVE TO, check out the Penumbra games. Penumbra; Overture and Penumbra; Black Plague. And If you like them check out Penumbra; Requiem aswell. I'll leave you to a trailer and a short gameplay vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gqc7DJSigBg&feature=related . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgfQX2rhjgI&feature=PlayList&p=DCAA2330808B36FA&index=34 . Theres not that many jumps. But oh shit does it have atmosphere. PM me back if you find it interesting.

Sadly, the white-folks stereotype is all too true. Have you ever seen "A Haunting" on the Discovery Channel? These are based on actual folks' accounts! Basically a shortened version of this movie with better re-enactors. :) You will never, ever, ever see a black family on this show. I've watched at least a half-dozen of these shows and never seen a family of any other ethnicity other than white folks who endure this much scariness. In fact, I believe this has already been covered by this show.....

Wait a minute! we get Co-Host reviewing this and still his Watchmen review is MIA. At this point maybe you could just hold it back for "Co-Host Reviews The Watchmen on DvD". Sorry to hear the movie stunk too Im a huge Virginia Madsen fan.
