  Being the hardcore gamer that I am, I was looking forward to this movie and I had high expectations. Knowing that video game movies haven't had the greatest track record, I was also worried that this would either fall flat or outright suck. But, as I sat there in the theater with my  3D Glasses on, a bowl of popcorn in my lap and a Coke in the cupholder, I saw the impossible finally be achieved. A video game movie was done right!

  PROS: Animation is beautiful with spot-on attention to detail and environments that are breathtaking to look at. Voice acting is stellar, even from the minor characters such as Sonic, M. Bison and Ryu. Great story tied together by an amazing script and funny dialogue. References to other classic films that pay off in full effect. Music is incredibly catchy. Memorable characters, and above all, this movie had HEART.

  CONS: Too much time is spent in Sugar Rush. I wish I could've seen more game worlds used in the actual movie (But, they make appearances in the credits, so it makes up for it). Candy puns got a little stale after a while. Disappointed that some characters were only in the background/not at all. Finally, where the hell was Mario?

  FINAL SCORE: An enjoyable film that caters to the younger demographic who enjoy bright flashy images and the teens/adults who are able to catch the references and appreciate good story telling. Visually stunning combined with great voice acting all around and a fantastic story make "Wreck-it Ralph" my favorite animated movie of 2012, and my favorite animated movie of all time. BETTER THAN SEX!!!

  Well as this is a feature that does not hit our screens till end of Feb, im getting a press screening on the 22nd and from many an associate who has been to the US give it a full price....namley a five star rating.....some even said better than sex i was a bit a gape shocked---animated-games-adaptation-Disney...whaaaa?

  "Peaking early" and the second half becoming generic and not taking risks sound a lot like the recent Pixar films. Wall-E and UP were just like that, great first half but incredibly lame second half, not that that keeps people from praising the hell out of those 2 movies. Brave was a little underwhelming too. It's disappointing to hear this doesn't break away from that. Still want to see this though.

  To be honest the scene with "real" korey in the loading bar was my favorite. Pretty good review guys. My only complaint is these new reviews sometimes feel a little too scripted, but this one is a step in the right direction.
