That is brave of up Leon to tell your Grandma about it as well as your mom. My Dad is agnostic, he doesn't say that, but I know he is. He always says that he's just tired of people forcing down their religious belief on others and even blame the devil or praise G-d when something happens without taking any responsibility for the actions that they perform. One of the hardest thing for me to do was to tell him that I want to convert to Judaism, because the rest of the family is either Catholic or Protestant. I think when he was younger he was tired of doing all the Catholic things with his cousin and didn't want to pass it on to his kids, but he didn't know about anything about Judiasm and orginally thought that I only wanted to convert to get more presents during the winter season, with Hannukah and all, and even tried to talk me out of it by saying, 'You only get socks for those holidays'. I still am activitly trying to convert, because for me, it's about the lifestyle and set of beliefs that's work for me as well as the fact that I have Aspergers and want to be apart this community that has been through so much, rather then thinking it's the 'true' religion, but my Dad is still getting used to the idea about me bringing in a new religion to the family. So, your family might come around too.
I know my thing is different, but I come from a primarily Catholic family, so I am still tip-toeing around during Christmas and Easter, just like I bet you do during that time as well.

Ramon Wright. I've seen you on the site for awhile, and would hate to see a familiar face (or thumbnail) leave. However, I can't help but strongly disagree when you say that we 'promote' Godless beliefs. To say we promote would imply that we actively try to persuade people to our way of thinking. In this case we're asked a question about our beliefs, we answer honestly, and we follow up by saying that we RESPECT other people's beliefs.
Sounds like if we're promoting anything it's tolerance. I say this with much respect to yourself and your religion.

@Ramon Wright If the Spill Crew being mostly atheist bothers you, you can leave. Why should they have to change their beliefs? @Edward La Guardia I disagree. I think the issue of whether you believe in God or not is deeply personal and only as important as you make it.

@Deric McNealy
Well said. I can't believe the hypocrisy of people who get offended when atheist/agnostics even MENTION their belief systems; and that coming from a nation that SHOVES their conformed beliefs down our throats.You say it with much more tact that I'm capable of and you're right about '...alludes to a certain type of courage.." about the crew.
@ Ramon Wright
HUGE DOUCHE BAG MOVE. Predictable. When people say things like that it only reinforces how ready some are to step on your first amendment rights. You are an offensive person (though hell I probably am too). I hope you do leave the site. Free thinking people who enjoy their rights (right here you're harping on their freedom of press, speech and assembly) would be better off than to read close minded crap like that. No response wanted, heard it all before.

Has anyone noticed how jaded, downtrodden, and cynical Korey has sounded in recent ACOCOs? Makes it a lot less enjoyable to listen to.

@Ramon Wright. I respect your beliefs and the respectful manner in which you chose to address your concerns. But to say that the Spill crew (or even the fans) promote godless thinking in which you do not want to be a part of is incredulously arrogant--considering that it is theistic-thinking that has perverted much of society. It's okay for Christians to promote their beliefs through the political system--through the schools--, but everyone else must turn their volume down for your beliefs, right? Assuming that you're American, I would think tolerance would be something encouraged in your beliefs or at least in American political doctrines. I must note that the Spill crew has NOT promoted their beliefs; they answered questions from the fans truthfully in regards to their beliefs. That alludes to a certain type of courage to publicly respond to controversial matters despite taboo. Please don't leave for something predicated on intolerance.

I have been a fan for a few years and have enjoyed this site to the fullest. But fact that the majority of the you guys are atheist is really bothering me. I have the belief that everyone is entitled to their on beliefs. But my beliefs don't permit me to surround myself with those who don't believe in a higher power. It would help if you guys didn't promote your Godless thinking on occasion. I really would hate to leave the site so can you tone it down just a little.

It's kind of sickening how much religion is a part of our government and our laws. In response to why most people focus on Christianity, it's because that is what is most prevalent in our country. According to some, we are a "Christian" nation. I personally have no problem with people following their own beliefs, but when you force laws through because of certain religion then we have a big problem.
