The game is nothing more than a tech demo for the 3DS. However, considering the state of the Fatal Frame series outside of Japan, I want people to buy Spirit Camera to show that there are US fans who adore the series and want more. It is a steep price of $40, but if the US can get the remake of the second title, or to be blindly optimistic, a release of Lunar Eclipse than please buy Spirit Camera

Project Zero was badass on the PlayStation 2 i played the shit outta it. Tecmo is coming out with Deep Crimson Butterfly, the remake of the second entry of the series in June 29, 2012 in Europe and, June 28, 2012 in Japan but still no North America release date yet. Damn Tecmo make that happen for the USA.

@kurei, I never said anything negative about the fatal frame series, nor did I say anything bad about this game. Yes, I wasn't aware that this was by the fatal frame team but my point is that the survival horror genre is stagnating. The genre had it's last shot in the arm with resident evil 4, and even that can be argued to be more towards action. I respect the fatal frame series for it's new take, but I think it's about time we had a revitalization of the genre.

@Mezza  What does that even mean???

Its by the SAME studio, and its a spin off series, wtf??  Have you even played Fatal Frame?  Fatal Frame is probably the only series out those three you mentioned that aren't sucking these days.

@kurei, spin off or rip off, my initial comment still stands.

@Mezza  DFO you research before you speak moron.  Its a pin-off series made by the same team, NOT a rip-off.

"Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir (心霊カメラ ~憑いてる手帳~; Shinrei Camera ~Tsuiteru Techou~) is an augmented reality horror game spin-off in the Fatal Frame series, co-developed by Tecmo Koei and Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS."

@Mezza yeah i had the same experience with the DS i didn't care about it then once i finally got one there were so many games to play that i never put it down.  The 3DS is getting there, i never planned on getting one this early but i was given one by a close friend and i have to say there are enough games on it that make it so its not a dud, Mario Kart, Resident evil, and super mario land have consumed a large amount of my time they are really fun,  just like all systems its going to take some time to get a whole lot of great games, and the same goes with the vita.

Ripping off fatal frame and not resident evil or silent hill? They're really scrapin the bottom of the barrel when it comes to survival horror these days. What's next, a rule of rose knock off? damn.

3DS is a dud so far. Then again, I said that when the DS rolled around and now I play that shit more than my dust magnet 360.
