Aw man! I was looking forward to you guys talking about Mimic's 2 and 3. Especially 3!

If my words reach you, heed them! I highly recommend "Mimic 3: Sentinel"; if for no other reason than just to see something very different and unexpectedly artistic. Ludicrous as it sounds, it is basically "Rear Window" meets "Mimic".

I watched 2 and 3 back-to-back and was taken completely by surprise with how kind-of brilliant #3 is. Unfortunately, although the setting, story, and characters are completely different, it still manages to tie itself way too closely to the other two films without really explaining anything. As such, it comes out to be a B-movie that almost ascends to the level of amazing, but doesn't quite reach it.

lol.. You hate this movie because it has a pun!?!?!

You can't make a film like gremlins today.. there are no longer horror films for kids. Take a look at  Del Torro's Don't Be Afraid of the Dark (2011 film). granted it was comedyless.. it was Rated R.. and i felt like it was a horror flick for kids.

For the record Cyrus, you should get sick more often.  This is the first time your voice had a booming bass to it, it's very manly.

gremlins wasn't that gory. the granma flew but you dont  see thee details and kids...well they don't have that dark reality adults have. road runner doesn't peel its scales on the road with the speed he has.

Troma sucks ass, and yeah, i know they are doing bad movies on purpose, but for me, its a similar thing like with "Machete" type movies, on purpose or not...its still a bad movie.

18:30 In 1989 there was no PG:13 rating so there was a MASSIVE gap in-between the G and R ratings and PG was put in some arbitrary point in the middle. For instance Jaws was rated PG. But it wasn't until the summer of 1989 that the MPAA decided to make the PG-13 rating and the two films responsible for it were both Gremlins and Indiana Jones in the Temple of Doom. Controversial elements such as the gremlins killing the townsfolk and the cult leader in Indy 2 pulling a man's heart out and then burning him alive by lowering him into a volcano just made everyone kinda step back and go, "wow, we really need to put something in-between R and PG." As a result PG-13 was created.

45:00- No crucifixion here... I can't say I hate Troma as I like a lot of people who have worked there and I dig their basic idea of going out and doing a movie no matter what budget, but I feel your pain as I dislike a majority of the movies as they're usually very dull and uninteresting.
