    Great review! I agree on a lot of the things you guys said.

    For anyone that's interested in seeing more reviews on Diablo 3, please check out my video. There was quite a lot of effort that went into this review. Anyway, here it is:

    No i see Your point and yeah if I can get my copy to work (stupid 36 CD Code bullcrap) I can see that being a problem.

    No worries El Kabong

    I definitely see your point...if people want to hack through an off-line mode and mess with the single player experience then it shouldn't matter right?...the only problem with that is much of the inner workings data (map layouts, enemy locations etc.) would have to be stored locally instead of on the servers which would let hackers have a field day, using the data to create ton of different ways to mess with the multiplayer...like they did with Diablo 2

    @ MasterEVOPK

    Well the hacks i was referring to were the item duplication/botting hacks that destroyed the Diablo 2 "economy" in the early days..my mistake, should of clarified...as far as the account hacking goes..i think they've set up just about the best protection available with the authenticator

    @MasterEVOPK and El Kabong

    Hacking really shouldn't be an issue at all in what is primarily a single-player, completely non-competitive game.

    I don't think it helped at all people are still getting hacked in this game and besides they could of done it like they did with Starcraft 2, (knowing full well they are two different genre of games) where you can still play the game without internet. I think there was some benefits to it but honestly i'm less worried about hackers than i'm about running the game properly when it decides not to work.

    While I agree that it does suck having any part of the game be subject to lag...i can kinda understand Blizzard's reasoning behind keeping everything online...being connected to battle.net helps cut way back on, if not eliminate, the hacks that ran rampant in Diablo 2...I'd like to damn Blizzard for requiring a connection to play but if I were put in their shoes i cant say i wouldn't do the same...if i spent that long building a game, I'd be damned if i let some 15 year old shit head hacker mess with it

    Fuck this broken-ass game!

    A solid meh. It's alarming that it took Blizzard a decade to make this game. Without ranting about the terrible server issues, you click on things...a lot. The campaign is ridiculously short. The setting, atmosphere and story are somewhat interesting, but not good enough to make up for the repetitive gameplay. Wait until they lower the price.

    Pretty salient critique here as well.

    You guys are (probably) gonna be so disappointed once you get to late hell/inferno. So deliciously disappointed.

    I cannot make myself care about this game. I even got it for free, but I just don't really enjoy playing it. I'll probably finish it at some point, but... yeah, don't care.

    @Samuel

    Glad to hear I'm not the only one who cares about Diablo lore. Hell, I even read the books when I was younger and rabid over D2.

    I love the story in this game, and particularly what happens with Leah's character, which is heartbreaking. Can't really wait for the expansion. The lore of the game is wonderful, which sucks that it occasionally gets ruined by the douchebags who come on to try out their racist jokes or try to sell fake gold. It's one of the things that, as Jeff said, needs to be turned off when you start the game, and in my case, needs to be turned off every time I log in.

    Ok here's my take on it. Before I go on I have to add that I AM NOT FRUSTRATED BY THE FACT THAT IT CAN ONLY BE PLAYED ONLINE. You don't like it? Don't fucking buy the game. Blizzard announced years ago that all their games are heading in this direction, same shit storm of hate rained down on SC2 and now the same thing on D3. It's like people are god damn schizophrenic.

    First 2 days - barely got any sleep, did normal and nightmare. It was very fun, but as Jason said I think it might have been the nostalgia factor into it.

    I did 60 few days later halfway to hell. Then the shit started to begin. The grind was unbearable, the AH restriction is fucking retarded, I have around 100 very amazing items in my stash can only post 10 at a time = retarded. Jeff you initially thought "oh shit they messed diablo" when seeing the way the talent tree works. I was the SAME at first but then quickly changed my mind. However when at 60 I realized the major downside of this change. The cookie-cutter spec. Yes, this disgusting side-effect to auto-scaling stats and few talents. You can't perform in Inferno w/o your classes cookie-cutter spec. And that's very very sad.

    I don't know. It's a great game but... I don't know how to put this w/o sounding trollish, TL2 is everything D3 should have been from my perspective. I've been playing the beta like a madman and I like it far more then D3. I like having 44 in agi and 80 in str when everyone else goes with 24 agi and 100 str. I like to twink my character, that was the strenght of D1 and D2, wild specs coming out of no where and owning in PvP and PvM.

    I was going to get this game but the fact that SINGLE PLAYER has lag in it has put me off completely. The worse programming for a video game ever. At least games like Dark Souls only have lag during the multiplayer fights, along with online being OPTIONAL.

    Haven't had a time to listen to the review yet, but me and my friends are having a blast reliving the glory days of D2 with our return to Sanctuary. A full price game, but Better than Sex when you you're playing with close mates.

    Error 37 is some ole bullshit, though. Seriously Blizzard, it's like you know you make amazing games and are trying to be your own worst enemy.
