LOL, I would never have guessed you guys would make the Megamania reference!  That's got to be my favorite video game commercial.

Yes, they should have mentioned minecraft more, I was playing minecraft while you guys were talking. In fact, I play minecraft while I listened to all the podcasts, maybe minecraft hadn't quite become the big sucess that we now know today when this was filmed. Or maybe they thought minecraft had become too big by that point that they didn't considered it because they were focusing on the guys in the film. I have tried to watch people play Fez, but when the game changes perspectives, it gives me a headache. Meatball is too hard for me. I'll stick with minecraft. Good review guys. :3

I second (or third, or fourth, or whatever) the idea of bringing Jason and Jeff on for the Wreck it Ralph review! That said I would be happy no matter what you guys chose to do.

This was absolutely a great film and i really think these are the type of films that should be shown before any individual decides too go down this sort of career path whether it be indie or working for a large studios that caters to the mass market and not a niche audience.

One thing that i just have never quite understood though is the benefit of working on an indie game. These are deffinelty just success stories for the most part but leon is absolutely correct, they really need to show the negative outcome of this as well.Making an indie game as apposed to working on a large scale title for a present state financially stable company is different then you throwing your life/money away into a passion project that if it fails what do you really have to show for it, yeah you put it out there and it "Expressed yourself" but did that positive really out weigh the negative that came from it ? Their are plenty of games studios that work on games for years and sells terribly and that leads to a lay off of a portion or even the whole studio, and their are even studios that make successful titles that make millions but unfortunately the game still went over budget and you still have to fire employees but at the LEAST you are still getting paid through the project.I guess personally i would never want to go indie or honestly even recommend it. As these guys are artist and want to express themselves and don't want to give into working on mass market repetitive titles that's great but unfortunately we can see it in films and games that the games that are so to speak "Carbon copy clones" are the ones that are the most financially successful...im just ranting now..

anyways review was awesome, i bought the movie great job as always guys.

Anyone has the time or patience, watch the Ed McMillen interview. It is really, really interesting in the same way this movie was.

Actually that would be perfect, i'm sure the spill screw won't get most of the references so it would be great!

I think there is a bit of a misunderstanding about indie games. It means that the product doesn't have a publisher (EA, Microsoft, Sony, 2K), if one is attached it's no longer an indie title. However, they do have to meet sales quotas to aquire royalties. The business side of any industry is a lot more unpleasant than we like to admit.

If you want to try these games out now is the time steam is having a crazy sale almost everything is 50% off. Download steam right now if you do not have it already. PC gaming is just as good as console especially when you can plug in a 360 controller to play the games the exact same. Be careful with the steam sales my bank account took a hit this week.
