Rhythm gives birth to a crystal that controls music. Chaos causes the crystal to become disrupted, and the only way to return it to normal is to increase a music wave known as "Rhythmia".

    I know your main goal is to be entertaining while you review something. But Jason just came off as one of those gutter-mouth xbox trolls.

    Someone called me a stereotypical high school jock? That's . . . f'ing hilarious. If I had any pictures from high school, I'd post them. You guys would laugh and laugh.

    I dont give two shits bout Final Fantasy games, but a good rhythm game with FF soundtrack ? Yeah, why not ?

    Professor Jeff should have made Nick review this game, since he didn't know what a JRPG was. This could have been punishment for his insolence.

    @Lightspeed

    So you acknowledge the fact that it was a joke, and still fly off the handle? Come on, I own nearly every single Final Fantasy OST, as well as every single FF album from OCReMix. If I can take it, so can you. Also, no offense to Jason, but I find it exceedingly amusing that you compare him to a stereotypical high school jock.

    In my humble opinion, it's absolutely fine for someone to review a game against which they have a bias, so long as they make their bias clear. Which is certainly the case for Jason. And it's not like he was reviewing it, either, he was just here so Jeff wouldn't be talking to himself for 13 minutes.

    @Scott_PJ

    I don't want you to get the wrong idea, the tapping is either a tap anywhere on the screen, a tap and hold, or a flick in one of eight directions. It doesn't matter where you tap, hold, or flick as long as you do it in time. That being said, I feel like the Event parts were the weakest of the three game modes since it's just prerendered movies in the background during those segments.

    I really love Rhythm Games AND The Final Fantasy Soundtracks. (Which are mostly beautifully composed and the best things of some of the games) But Jeff kind of confirmed my major fear with the game, where the tapping of the notes doesn't really gel with the new types of gameplay within the game. The Battle and Walking based things seem possible, but the Event tapping which goes in a line like EBA/Ouendan doesn't match with the bottom of the screen.

    I would buy the game if I had a 3DS...but I don't. ^^; So it'll be watching gameplay videos for me!

    I first became aware of this game through Penny Arcade and have it on the way. I've never played a rhythm game, but love Final Fantasy and its music, so it'll be a neat intro into the genre.

    Squareenix aren't afraid to experiment when it comes to FF, especially when it comes to spin offs. Dirge of Cerberus was my first experience at a shooter (and it sucked, would have worked better in the style of Devil May Cry) and Final Fantasy XII Revanant Wings, was my first rts, which was a lot of fun.

    Final nail in the coffin. Review was ill-informed and simultaneously boring. Not listening to Loading Bar anymore.

    "If you're a fan of this stuff, if you're the type of person who's got, like, symphonic CDs of Final Fantasy music, this is definitely going to be a game that you're going to like."

    ...well, fuck.

    "Yeah, and if you are one of those people, ah, kill yourself."

    Right back at you, Jason.

    Final Fantasy has some of the best music of any video game franchise in existence.

    But does it really need a rhythm game? Really?

    I think a demo should come to the 3ds. I am interested in this game being a fan of Final Fantasy series and it's music. I own a soundtrack to Final Fantasy VI. I want a demo because I am not as good at rhythm games as other games.

    Jesus what was Square thinking?

    "Based on all the music of Final Fantasy" I thought the music was the same in every FF game.
