Cyrus returns and regales all with tales of the road, and the memes that happened while he was gone are explained. Also, Marvel and DC's future animation and film plans, the tape trading relics too perverse to even make it to Youtube, and we address the question as to why the hell was there even a Slytherin at all. And, you know, more.

    86:00 - LOL!  Well done!

82:00 - Why so much hate about cloud Galactus?  Thinking about how aliens would probably evolve in space, an energy cloud would probably be more realistic than a giant humanoid in purple underoos.

Personally I hope they go the Ultimate Marvel route with Gah Lak Tus.

81:60 - I would LOOOOOVE for the show to be Alias!

70:30 - I'd enjoy this Gotham Central movie you propose, but hearing how people complained about the lack of Batman in the Dark Knight Rises, I don't see it happening.

62:20 - Well, this should take some hate mail off of Leon...

I'd rather listen to more about the Bronies and Cloppers than Harry Potter.  I don't really understand any of them, but the Bronies are sort of interesting in a car crash kinda way.

@LorienLupin Exactly. I honestly love a lot of the fan work, especially the art and music and even some of the fanfiction to an extent. The good stuff is fantastic. The bad stuff.....well, can't unsee/hear/read that.

@Boatloads1017 Haha yeah most people in fandoms are like that... I mean I've being semi active in a couple of fandoms, and I had people telling me that the show is stupid, I've never had a problem with that, I mean they called the show stupid not me. I've watch MLP FIM and like it well enough, even if I do think is a little childish, it doesn't change the fact that It is funny.

The fandom is never the problem, I think that what pisses most people off is the fan butthurt, as you call it.

The last 10 mins or so were like an audio book version of a Serbian Film. Except kind of funny in a really fucked up way. Is there a way to combine those kind of stories and Kayla chicken talk into something marvelous/terrifying?

@LorienLupin You mean like Nolan fans? Or Sonic fans? Or any one who is fanatical about anything, being a movie, book, or invisible man in the sky? Fan butthurt is not only exhibited by my fellow Bronies, though they are probably the most vocal defenders of their show than anyone to date. But, at least we're not "Beliebers" or "Gleeks." *shudders*

As for Iain Hood, if he didn't have deep personality problems, he wouldn't be on here posting that picture on anything that mentions MLP and Bronies.

i'll be 30 next year, but im still a huge fan of kids shows. i've been a fan of Power Rangers since it began. i still catch the new episodes but not really as much anymore. these days i like the older epsodes because of the campy cheesey part of it. its fun, its flashy, and i like the team comradery. there's a huge Power Rangers convention happening right now in fact. but im grown up to admit its just a kids show. a very popular kids show but still a kids show. its kind of a big part of my life, but im not going to get all rageface when somebody starts making fun of me for liking it. i enjoy it, i'll admit it. thats the whole point right? to enjoy it? i dont take it too seriously either. if somebody starts sending defensive hateful comments trying to justify that they think My Little Pony Friendship is Magic is the best show ever, then they clearly have missed the point of the show entirely, and take themselves wayy to seriously. and YES, i watch MLP FiM too, i can name nearly all the characters, even some obscure background ones. i dont collect the toys, and im certainly not lusting over any characters. i have hundreds of dollars worth of Power Rangers in my collection. but i'd never attack anyone who got in my face for it. and im certainly not obsessing with any of the characters in a sexual manner to a frightening degree. anyone who does that clearly has problems. so in short, i like Power Rangers, i AM a Power Ranger soemtimes. Bronies are fine. Cloppers? calm down, shut up, you're not helping your cause by getting all rageface. you're only making the whole bromy community look worse

@Boatloads1012 No, I've being so busy this couple of weeks, didn't get the time to visit the site. Deeply sorry for it by the way, would've love to read the angry messages, haha. It's stupid, most but half the people out there feel personally insulted when their fandom gets criticised...  On another note the person in that picture (@Iain Hood) has DEEP personality problems, or REALLY doesn't give a crap what other people think.

@LorienLupin So I'm guessing you only listened to Remote Viewing last week? Cause this shit's been EVERYWHERE on this site the last week+.

I understand liking weird things, fuck it, I'm a thirty year old Naruto fan, but getting angry because other people don't like it is stupid. I'm sorry but My little pony is a cartoon for 12 year old GIRLS, just as Twilight is a BADLY written book... I'm in no way saying that the people who like those two are stupid, of course not, but that doesn't change those facts.

The whole thing that makes me sad because up until this podcast I didn't know what a brony or clopper was, that is a piece of trivia uselessly taking space in my brain... thank you LEOG.

@briansalisbury: As I said, a true Arnold classic. Best joke (that nearly killed me during the screening) I had forgotten was

"To think, I could've been in Hawaii"

"I know, I had the perfect shirt and everything and you fucked that up.

@Cyrus Bowling Green, OH is just that small, artsy and fun. Feel's though a bit to much like Small ville Kansas sometimes.

Seriously how can any brony take things seriously when most do stuff like this?

  • August 19, 2012 at 5:22 PM, Amlure said ...

I'm a flame brony in the fact I attack other bronies for their crap.

Yes it is odd, yes it is stupid.  I'll defend someone bad mouthing the show itself, but badmouthing me for liking it?  so right ahead, I'll badmouth us right with you.
