I disagree with Brian and Luke's opinion on The Walking Dead to the point of annoyance.

Re-listening to this, what is ironic is that what Brian and Luke do not realize is the fact that they even had that Walking Dead discussion with Cyrus proves that they are wrong about how they think every decision should be easy and clear cut(I.E. that Shane is, without a doubt, right) lol

Homeland was my favorite show last year. Headhunters is one of the best of 2012. Season 3 of The Walking Dead really has potential to make up for season 2 because it was a mixed bag. Also, sorry Brian and Luke, but you are wrong about A Separation. There is a lot of brilliantly executed moral dilemma and subtlety that you didn't see. It's all in the screenplay (One of the best screenplays ever made mind you) and in the acting. And the film constantly asks us to decide where we stand on the incident while always giving us every persons argument. And on top of all of that, the film uses this story to also show Iran's societal, government and religious politics. Bullhead is really good but A Separation is a masterpiece. I hope Cyrus saw it and beat you guys in another argument lol

Thank you Brian and Luke for not blindly loving The Walking Dead.  I personally feel that the show is severely flawed as well and often times am met with great opposition in discussions.  My major problem is in the writting.  The writers seem to feel it is acceptable to change characters' personalities just for the sake of telling a new story.  It happens ALL THE TIME, and it just shows that they are struggling.

I'm learning more and more that I cannot base myself on Brian nor

Luke's opinions, because their taste just don't align with mine on so many levels

I have to side with Cyrus on The Walking Dead conversation! I don't want to loose my humanity no matter what, once I loose it whats the point of being alive.

After A Separation won the Oscar I spent some time on the message boards/comments sections of conservative websites (I have a habit of doing this, I guess I'm a bit of a masochist) and the general consensus among the "patriots" who populate these sites was that giving the Oscar to this movie was a "capitulation to Islam" and possibly part of a larger conspiracy by Obama, Hollywood, teachers, and unions to set up a Marxist Caliphate. (of course the people who claimed this often admitted that they hadn't actually seen the film.) I wish I was exaggerating, but people actually believed this.

I really liked Terminator Salvation. I know it's no Step Up 3D or Supershark Vs. ChimpManzee, but I thought it was pretty good.

Wow ... After hearing the debate I was so interested I went out and watched season 1 & 2 of The Walking Dead. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think both of your opinions on the matter are incorrect. I think if you take each character's background combined with their emotional state you easily see that each action they take is logical at least in their own mind. Even the writing for the women were very logical. Also there was no mention of people dying of natural causes (without bites/scratches) and turning zombie until season 2 (unless you count the whisper of the cdc guy which you couldn't hear).

The only character I hated with a passion was Carl. Whoever directed that kid or gave him lines is an idiot.

    WALKING DEAD SPOILERS

The whole point of the name - the walking dead - comes from the comics that Rick and the gang discover - biting doesn't spread the virus, you are already infected. If you die of a heart attack you return. That's what the CDC guy whispered to Rick.

I think Remote Viewing is an interesting podcast. It's cool to hear what the hosts think of the new releases. I would just enjoy it a lot more if the whole thing didn't stop regularly for Brian to laugh at his own terrible jokes..

Have to side with cyrus on the walking dead discussion.

I felt like brian and luke were playing the armchair qb in all of this. "Well what I would do, seeing that I've watched zombie movies..." is a bullshit argument. Now I'm not saying the show is flawless, there are alot of dumb decisions, but these are people set in a world where presumably there aren't any zombies. It's alot to grasp that your love ones are the undead trying to eat your face. In a three month span they aren't going to start REBUILDING SOCIETY, they need to get their shit together.

Also I've heard past reviews from aunt brian and luke, how they can't sit through a festival that the name escapes me because there's too much rape. Yet they take the position of being objective with trying to survive the apocalypse. Guess what? some sociopath path is going to think that your wife and daughter are needed to rebuild society, he would come from the same place you deem to be coming from, is that alright?

I do hate lori though and carl is never looked after but overall i thought second season was good, alot better than the first. Although there is a little too much love triangle I felt that in the contexts of some characters, they acted well within reason with who they were.

    @I Be Gorson

    EXACTLY! Thank you!

I don't care that you've sat around making plans for a zombie apocalypse that's never going to happen, and neither do people who write zombie movies/shows/games. These stories are written around average people, not geeks with too much goddamn time on their hands.

Wow I disagree completely with Luke and Brian and i'm not even the biggest fan of this show. The fact that you're reviewing the show as a season without watching the full season. Flat out saying things that are untrue when tying to prove that it goes against its mythos when it doesn't. The whole fact that everytime Cyrus makes a point Brian just says fuck it and its bullshit. When confronted with evidence he writes it off completely.  Its one thing to not like the show but to try and say all these things about the show that isn't there is terrible. It was completely irritating listening to him in this segment

Just a little extension to my last comment Flight of the Concords song was used terribly I liked seeing flight of the concords in a movie though I was pretty shocked, the monkey was only funny for the evolution jokes any other joke flopped.

Very strange I was disappointed in Pirates, It was ok but didn't really have a lot going on. The jokes were not that funny to me I don't know why just everything seemed half ass. The characters were not really setup everything seemed to just happen and then it was over. Could of been the mood I was in I was overtired and wanted something funny to watch that would cheer me up and it didn't accomplish it. The evolution jokes got me though.

Getting bit speeds up the zombification. Dying outside of that and becoming a zombie, this is how exactly it works in the comic. I didn't care for season 2 as much, but it is gonna get better.

    Brian is wrong!

We did not know that the living would become a walker until the second-last episode of season 2. Renner(the CDC-guy) whispered in Rick's ear, but we didn't know what the fuck he said.. until the second-last episode of season 2! So complaining and bitching about the fact that they tried to the fact that the living becomes a walker dramatic? Well, YES! It's great and awesome that they tried to do it dramatic.. jeeeeeez.. They didn't establish it until the end of season 2. So.. YOU'RE WRONG! :D

I also agree with Be Gorson to a certain degree. Cyrus is spot on saying that what Rick did with the guy when there was a huge zombiestampede, is exactly what RICK would've done!

Why is it every time someone reviews a zombie movie or show, instead of reviewing the story people want to bitch about what they would do better in the zombie situation.  I don't care.  Talk about the quality of the show.  I have read every issue of Walking Dead and watched every episode and have problems as well, but its a decent show.  And do you think the show would have the audience it does if every moment of the books is translated exactly to screen?  No.  No way.  While it may arguably be a better show it would depress and alienate too many people and then it would be cancelled.  Can't we all just agree that it's awesome a zombie show is a hit?  And yeah...I hate Laurie too.

Goddamn, I hope I'm not with Brian or Luke if and when the Zombie apocalypse goes down.. lol
