My favourite part was when you enacted the what if situation with the model and 4chan lol. Rewinded to that part a couple of times.

Another risk to the peace offering tactic for bullies is if they want to be real horrible, they'll take it as, "oh, I can beat on this kid and they'll still suck up to me". Of course that depends a lot on the kind of bully. If that girl was just insecure, might work. Best is to try and make it as easy as possible for them to stop without giving them a reason to want to get back at you.

Anyways, it dissapoints me how little Finding Nemo 3D, made. Because it easliy has the best 3D re-releases of the Disney movies, the 3D looks great!

Down to earth starring Chris Rock is kinda-sorta a race swaping movie

@darlinho I can see your point but I think it is a just a loud minority who would make a big deal about blacks, or any minority, in the mainstream. On a past ldt they were talking about the racist outrage when spiderman was changed to a half mexican half black character. Though the majority of people didnt have a problem with it.

Another example would be the racist Hunger Games tweets where people didnt like the black characters in the story. The tweeters got flamed hard enough where they deleted the tweet or made their account private or outright deleted their account.

While I do believe there is racism on the big scale, it is really gone on the day to day level. Even on the big scale of things, you have your black stars in movies and TV. You had your all black casts in shows like The Cosby Show and The Fresh Prince of Bel-air. In most shows today, there is at least one non-stereotypical black character.

Do we have a ways to go until we see a lot of all black shows, yes. Nonetheless, I dont really see the point of pushing for more of any race or gender in a show if changing that trait would not change the character. Racism will die off as the next generations, who were not taught racism in culture, start becoming adults while the people, who were indoctrinated in a racist mindset, die off. If we really want to talk about a fucked up minority in our culture, it would be homosexuals as they face discrimination on a day to day level as well as big picture lvl.

If I had the ability to talk a model into doing something.  I would talk her into my bed instead of a grave.

There's nothing wrong at all with loving the box office. More than once have I tried to start up a betting ring with the box office with my other nerdy friends. Then they don't talk to me for days at a time.

@ji wada i don't think you understood what they were saying. relisten to that part again.  Its not about the character changing, but rather on  what society finds acceptable.

if you still do not believe this then i would urge you to conduct your own experiment. Go to your local corner store and look at all the front covers of the magazines. Try and see if the ratio of whites to black and latinos are the same. Hell if you are feeling lazy you can do the same experience with your television. flip through your channels check the same thing (telemundo and BET do not count).

Also, as much as i would like to agree with you on  the idea that changing a characters race does not change the character, we both know this is not true. People would have flipped out if will smith actually got that superman role or if donald glover played spider man. For MANY  of white america this is a no no. You know it, i know it , everyone knows it.

I actually do not have a problem with that since the characters were originally written and drawn to be white. The problem i do have is when those same white americans have no problem using  a white  person to play a character of a different race i.e prince of persia, last airbender. That is precisely what Korey and Leon were alluding to.

I am not making this comment to make you feel bad (or anyone else for that matter) but rather to make you aware of what is going on. If i am able to that then i am happy. I believe that awareness leads to change.

please let me know your thoughts. i welcome a healthy discussion.
