    The QTE are not as repetitive as people say if you only count the scripted ones.If you count every QTE, scripted and where you have to get an enemy off of you, then yes its a lot. But scripted ones are like...40% of the game at best. The gameplay itself isn't repetitive as you have different gameplay types in each campaign plus some vehicle parts. Even though those are just a bit stiff. Story is well done. It's little demented to be honest. The campaigns connect really well. It's a long as hell game. You get Mercenaries Mode and Agent Hunt Mode (Which I heard isn't all that good) And also the story for Chris and Jake are emotional on different aspects of each other and are interesting. This game does not at all deserve the 4.5 or 5 or lower score. People are butt hurt that it's not a scary game anymore. But honestly, that is very irresponsible to review a game based on what you want. Also I love the original games, grew up on them. I also love the new ones. Do I wish that the series went back to the horror roots? Hell yes. I'de love it. But I am happy with the way RE games are now. But also, the story and characters is what matters most to me for the series.

    Just played the prologue of this game and DAMN I'm tired of the QTE's already. Don't know if its been addressed or not but you can change the reticle from that thing to a dot. Love the review. Actually bought the game while listening to it. I know the RE I knew and loved is dead but lets see if I can have fun anyway

    @ Kevin J Baird
    Didn't mean to seem like I was attacking you, but that criticism didn't really sound like a joke. I will upgrade my chip to better detect comedy.

    Imagine being in a fire fight and someone handing you a potted plant to heal yourself with.  Or using a bottle of hairspray.  It's comedy.  Trying to make you robots laugh ain't easy.

    Well that is more of a valid complaint, but Kevin clearly stated he was talking about the old school tropes that had no place in a realistic video game. Maybe saying it was stupid was harsh (just to be clear I did not mean YOU guys were stupid, I now realize my comment was kind of dickish) but I just feel if we start judging that then the basic standard of a health cage becomes dumb, or even the principal of LIVES becomes obsolete. It is, after all, a game and it would suck to have to check into the hospital after every bullet wound :P...
    And yes  just realized I called you Jess... Writing habit I guess because that is my girlfriend's name, I hope I don't confuse both of your names too often...

    @Michael-Orian

    My problem is not so much with the fact that the green herbs exist and heal you but more with how that mechanic has been implemented into the game system. If this game was going to be more action oriented, there was no good reason to make me go into a menu to combine, put the herbs in the case, etc. It added 3 or 4 steps to what should have been a one step process.

    Hum Kevin and Jess know this is still a game right? Complaining about the health herbs is very stupid IMO

    I hated the experience of playing this game. It was completely unoriginal, too easy, it had bad lighting, had a horrible camera, and too much shaky cam.

    @G-man15

    I would argue that RE5's problem was that it wasn't too much like 4.  If it was a carbon copy of RE4 with better graphics and a new story, that would be fantastic, because RE4 was a great game.  But every change they made - co-op, the inventory system, the linear progression of the story - was for the worse.  It was, indisputably, an inferior game to 4.

    I didn't go into RE6 thinking it was going to be the Next Red Dead Redemption or the near perfect game and I absolutely enjoyed this game, full-price. A lot of game for your money.

    @George Doctanian People aren't saying RE6 is stale, they are saying that it is a poorly designed and executed game. RE5 (which wasnt all tgat bad) wasn't hated, it was just the same as RE4. The reason people love it so much is because it changed the formula and it did it perfectly. With RE6, they tried to change the formula but they did it poorly and it turned out to be a badly made game.

    They should have focused the entire game on leon. That will definitely bring back that sweer re4 experience.

    Ya know, it's funny, while playing the campaigns I found Chris' to be the most boring, but when it came to the end, his final mission and ending was also the most moving. Manly tears...
