I felt the exact same way about Paranorman as Cyrus. I appreciate the design and animation but it could not get into it. I agree with Cyrus on Coraline too. It was beautifully animated, but most of the admiration I have for it feels obligatory. For a similar story that has a lot more heart that really endeared to me, I think Neil Gaiman did a much better job with The Graveyard Book.

I like the mellow music you guys use to open the show. Have you ever considered having music like that play in the background of  your reviews? There is this late night radio talkshow on the east coast called night shift and they play music in the background and it makes the show so much better.

@Cropsey--Yes. We'll be taking a couple questions per show starting not next week but the week after. I'll be putting out a call next week for questions that you will indeed send to me. Hope you guys dig the new segment. Cheers.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

I believe that "Lawless" takes place in the Dark Knight universe. What we're really seeing here is the history of Bane's great-grandpa and Gordon's grandpa

I'm with Lt. Commander Armstrong: "Lawless" is as mediocre as a carp is a fish.  It has two-dimensional characters, decent (at best) cinematography, a terrible performance (or representation) by Guy Pierce, and Tom Hardy, for the first time in his career, does almost nothing on screen.  He sits around and grunts, grumbles, and makes guttural noises, and occasionally strikes someone with brass knuckles.

Most of the characters in the film are terrible people and none of them are interesting.  John Hillcoat took a huge step backwards from "The Proposition" and "The Road" with this mediocre film that does nothing new or interesting for nearly two hours.

John Travolta and Nic Cage in Expendables 3? If they can somehow work in a Face Off type sub plot between the two, I'm sold.

Frankly Lawless bored the crap out of me. I never felt like there were any characters to latch onto, and the moments when you are supposed to feel sympathy or tension almost all felt flat.

@Cloveart--Wow dude, entitled much? For the record, we've given away some incredible prizes in the past (entire James Bond Blu-ray collection for example), but yeah I'm really sorry the free thing we're offering this week isn't up to your standards. Don't want it? Don't try for it. We have something for fans every single week, and we don't have to offer anything. Please stow your whining over free stuff in the future lest you continue to sound like a spoiled brat. Thanks very much.

Salo: 120 days of sadom, is just a bad movie IMO. Did not offend me (actually I am never offended by movies) I just think the acting and directing was bad.

Thats true you guys. The tarantino xx collection would have been a perfect set to discuss. I'm a little disappointed that the set was not talked about.

Thank you guys, i cannot stand any of those paranormal shows. It just makes me so angry!! While these jackasses get TV shows, quality shows get canceled or not even green-lit.

What's the point of giving away a DVD that cost $4.99. Big spending you guys... Ha!
