Although I don't completely agree with all of the people here, PENumberOne does have a good point that Korey went a little too far on the religion discussion. He didn't need to bash ALL religions because of that one fucking guy Mike Huckabee.

I am very religious, and the thing is, this is just the world we live in. No one said Earth is perfect. AND NO, I do NOT think these shootings are happening because we have reduced God in America. This shit has ALWAYS been bad, we never HAD a golden age of peace. Korey, just because some of us are religious DOES NOT mean we all have the same views on God. You of all people should know better than that. Like I said, I AGREE with alot of the stuff you said, but I think you went to far bashing religion because we have different beliefs than you. Korey, you are someone who strongly respects the fact that we all can have different beleifs, I know that. But, because of dumbass Mike Huckabee, don't ASSUME we all have the same views on God just because we are religious. Now, I DO agree with Korey that we CAN help and prevent this shit at times. I don't care how much anyone wants to argue, you don't need to own a god damn automatic!

Like Korey said, the biggest problem is that it's to easy to get a gun (let alone automatic) in the first place. Also, when you purchase a gun, it should be YOUR responsibility and NO ONE elses. If someone is able to steal your gun and kill someone with it, you should go to jail for the same reasons as the killer. Point is, if it's your responsibility, you should pay the price too.

No, video games and TV are NOT the reason this shit is happening. Although the world has had its ups and downs, we have NEVER had world peace. You can ban video games and that shit all you want, but in the end, there will ALWAYS be crazy people and this bullshit in our world. Like I said, although I felt Korey was to hard on religion IN GENERAL, he still had really good points., and that the biggest problem here are the guns.

@T. Montalbano You do know NO ONE DIED during that stabing. Research shit before you use it as examples. If that's your pro gun argument is it's ridiculous. @PENumberOne Celebrating Christmas doesn't make you christian , hell Christmas trees, eggnogs , santa and the exchange of presents has nothing to do with the birth of christ birth. For pete's sakes you have no proof that your god's child was born on december 25th , biblically or otherwise , so your argument that christmas is only for christians is pretty ridiculous. and as for you @The Old Boy watch this as it's a counter argument to the video you posted about gun control . If you're not clear on what gun regulation bill the democrats are proposing I suggest you watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOrNgxm4lYQ

At best you can use Spanish speaker, for U.S. born only Mexican-Americans are usually called Chicanos. Well considering Mr. Corey that Amerindian humiliation was different from African humiliation and thus the methods of domination are different and differ by our different White masters

It's kinda disappointing Korey and Leon that you would use Mike Huckabee as your argument to measure religion and those that believe in it. Huckabee is no more a spokesperson for religion and God than David Duke is for civil rights.. You guys are smarter than that. It seems it's now become the popular thing to be slamming ALL religion  without understanding the core of its purpose. (and yet these same people preach tolerance when it comes to homosexuality). Religious persecution was a tool Hitler used to destroy millions of Jews.  Whether or not you choose to believe in a higher power bigger than us that's fine, but having a rant at those that use it to better their lives and those of others (those that DO understand it's core purpose) is very unfair and pretty hypocritical considering you began this podcast talking about Christmas presents and having a Christmas special...Christmas is a CHRISTIAN holiday, you know that right? Why don't you practice what you preach and don't participate in the celebration of a day that acknowledges someone that you don't believe in? Those of the Islamic faith don't celebrate Christmas, why are YOU? Korey, religion isn't full of shit, it's just some of the people in it that want to come across that they know God better than anyone else.

Now, I'll just make a comment on something I do agree with you guys on. The Django N word controversy. Spike Lee  has been vocal of his criticisms of Quentin Tarantino and his need to use the word so commonly. It's why I don't like Tarantino all that much. All he's doing is making an unpopular word - popular. If he was sincere in his hatred of racism why doesn't he make a serious film about slavery? Or a film where the main character is a strong educated black man? It could even be an action film like Jack Reacher where the main character is a badass who goes around  killing anyone who uses the N word lol ;)

To Korey: I don't know if you heard about this or not, but this happened on the EXACT SAME DAY as the Sandy Hook Shooting. A lotta people have not heard about this: the Chenpeng Village Primary School stabbing. I don't think enough people have heard about this because it was a stabbing, not a shooting. My step-uncle thinks the government doesn't want it to get out 'cause of gun control and all. Either way, I think it'd make an interesting discussion.

Mexicans do have the Mexican language, which is Nahuatl but we are too damned ashamed of our indianness to speak it, we are not the Hispanic Invaders you compare us to.

Coloured people eh? Well eh whatever word you use, it usually means a non-European person anyways

I know I put a big post that kind of meandered all over the place about gun control. I came across this video that pretty much sums up a lot of what I said or how I feel, basically the guy did all the researching for the points I brought up in regards of pro-guns in a much more focused and organized manner. Please take a few minutes and watch it if you solidly stand on restricting our right to bear arms.

Whoa, guys. You really need to learn to respect other people's opinions! Just because you didn't love Django Unchained or Zero Dark Thirty, other people might. You don't have a right to say they're hypocritical or kissing ass just for having a different opinion than you! Fucking Christ, man ...

@Predator: What does Drone strikes, have do with Sandy Hook and gun laws. The only time they should be brought up on this conversation is when your neighbor brags about having twenty drones stacked in his garage.

So they're pursuing the whole "games are the source to why people go on shooting sprees" with a bill proposed by a senator.  More info is on the senators site.

@ Predator, I absolutely agree with you, people should be way more pissed about drone strikes than they currently are.  If they were more of a surgical weapon, I wouldn't have a problem; but as you said, collateral damage follows after every drone attack due to the inefficiency of the artillery.  If Obama, and all the other fake politicians can stand in front of cameras shedding crocodile tears for the 20 younglings in CT, then they have to be insane not to shed the same tears for the children on the end of the UAV camera.

The truth is that Americans don't value the life of those "enemy combatants."

Also, I am a Christian but I can completely see where you guys are coming from, though you are totally oversimplifying our belief structure. But Mike Huckabee, like most evangelicals, is a giant douche and embarrasses us all. If I knew a way to shut him up I would, but I can only send members of the GOP so much hate mail a day.

I have to admit I clapped when Leon said fuck the constitution. Some values are great but laws need to change as the times do. The constitution said that I was 3/5 of a human being. The constitution allowed slavery and had to be amended to say that women should have rights too.

Is it so hard to believe Americans would mourn American children being killed more so than Pakistani children? I'm sure Pakistanis would mourn Pakistani children more than they would those of Americans...

US Drones killed more than 170 kids in Pakistan (Obama approves these drone attacks) but i dont see you talking about them!! Why aren't you getting mad about that? oh wait that's because mainstream media isn't telling you to be mad about that.

@@EmeraldGunslinger  you're right, sorry if my post came off overly harsh, I'm starving.  Good luck in the coast guard.

@Marcellus. Things are never that black and white. Did you read my whole argument. What you are saying is only a small step stricter than what I proposed.

I'm joining the Coast Guard. The point is, it's something I'm good at and I enjoy it. It's an Olympic sport and there are marksmanship teams across the country. I was the OIC (Officer In Command) of my high school marksmanship team.

I have no complaints concerning the gun banning laws.

Ive heard the same argument about religion with some of my other atheist friends. The argument "how could God let this happen" is pretty easily explained. When man sinned originally God and man split, God no longer controls what happens on this earth. The notion that hes reaching down and helping everyone everywhere is an American thing and  dosnt really have any context from the bible. God is invited into your life, he dosnt force his way there.

    Love the show!
