I gotta get the BRUCE LEE documentary.   I'm a huge fan of his.

Ed Oneil ( dad from Maried with children) was in it? LOL  he's been in the news lately on martial arts websites because it just sounds funny that he's a Brazilian Jujitsu Black belt. Yeah he should NOT be on the documentary.

The only credit I give to him is that is that getting a Black Belt in that martial art is NOT like gettin a black belt in karate or tae kwon do.  Its WAY harder to be a black belt in that Brazilian Jujitsu  I was in tae kwon do and kung fu. SO there's no Bias in me saying that.

Was he the father of Mixed Martial Arts?

Not directly. It just turned out that he was right about combining styles being more efficient for actual fighting. Especially for how random and ugly actual fighting is. This isn't movie fighting.

If bruce were still alive, he'd be one of the bigger advocates for MMA. I love MMA, but out here in SD, everyone jock asshole is into that. So now you have big jock assholes that also know how to fight pretty damn good.

Excuse me if I misunderstood you Brian, but you're saying that all MMA fighters are dumb as bricks for getting into MMA in the first place? MMA isn't that dangerous of a sport, it's pretty much like boxing or any other combat sport.

This may be a little embarrassing, but every time i see the end of Rudy and to know no one else was ever carried off that field, i will just start bawling like an infant with no pacifier. In fact, i'm tearing up right now.

Jeet Kune Do was in a way a mixed martial art system as it was about mixing the most effective way of doing things cutting down on the bullshit of the movements taught with Traditional Kung Fu styles and adding lessons of other styles.

Re: "To Rome With Love"...  the description of 'normal people being stuck in the middle of Italian situations' made me think what would have happened if one of those situations was from "Suspiria"...  I would pay to see that.  And wasn't the 'opera singer' story done in "The Flintstones"?

The default answer for movie that makes you cry is Toy Story 3. I sobbed like a baby for the last 20 minutes.
