Another James Bond connection to the Sex Thief is the star of the film David Warbeck.

Warbeck claims he was being seriously considered as the next James Bond, but the role was taken by Roger Moore. Warbeck claimed that for many years he was paid an amount to be a substitute or back-up Bond on the conditions that he not tell anyone and that he be ready for filming at a moment's notice in the case of Moore leaving or threatening to leave the role. One day he read about Timothy Dalton being chosen and was told by the producers that he was now "too old for the role"

I thought For A Good Time Call... did a nice job playing off cliches but in the end it was just a bit too sentimental and the story was a too insubstantial. It's like someone sketched an outline for a script and forgot to fill in the character development and transitions and the rest of the jokes. It was cute for what it was but I don't know if it's even worth a rental. And yes, I'm a 20-something girl.

35:40 - I've been sick all week, so I've been watching a lot of Netflix... mostly Supernatural season 7 and Being Human US Season 2.  I'm caught up on Being Human BBC, but I only saw season 1 of the USA version.  Season 2 has improved greatly.

Think you guys were too harsh on The Men Who Built America. It was amazing and super educational. They pretty plainly say that these men were huge dicks that had no other concern except money and the power that came with it.

I mean they show how and why they made the US have stock market crashes and scares. They show that they made workers work in the most dangerous situations for "less than the cost of living" pay. They are seen causing depressions and recessions. They even show how these douches bought the President of the US.

I mean they show that these guys are dicks through their deeds. Sure they give them respect because they were still men that did something rather extraordinary. Its the same respect you give to Alexander the Great, or Julius Caesar. They are men that have left a mark on mankind forever and that cannot be ignored or forgotten.

Good to have Luke back, been a long time stranger!

Director's Commentary is something I used to listen to a lot more on Laser Disc! I still have a working laser Disc player and collection of laser disc (the ONLY sourse of original Star Wars trilogy untainted).

The two most entertaining Director's Commentary I've listened to:

    1. Escape from New York (laser disc): John Carpenter and Kurt Russell discussing how they worked every scene, right down to Carpenter explaining how he couldn't afford to shoot in NYC but his assistant found a fire that burned out a section of St. Louis...but they had no night cameras so they slicked down the ground and used any light source to bounce off the slick surface to give the scenes more light so they could shoot. Best of all, the topic of ex-wives came into play. Also Isaac Hayes calling up Carpenter for the craptastic Escape from LA, "Put me in coach! I want back in!" Carpenter telling Hayes, "I would love to man...but you're...dead."

    2. Heat (laser disc): Michael Mann essentially turns the movie into a film class without paying $$$ per credit hour. Whether you like him or not, Mann does make the entire discussion of how to get a shoot done, informative. Bring your notebook.

    Now....for pure entertainment:

Resident Evil (DVD): I don't know if every successive RE movie went the same way but the director's commentary is great with Milla Jovovich. She makes fun of herself constantly, she goes back and forth with Michelle Rodriguez trading barbs. It literally feels like going to a bar with a couple girls and boozing it up.

That's pretty much all I feel like writing on this topic. ;)

About gang activities being filmed there's places on the net where you can find drive-bys filmed from in the car and the "celebration"(going to a whorehouse or something) afterword.

@ 10:00 i dont know how many people have watched Steve Oedekerk's thumb movies. on The Blair Thumb, there are two commentaries: a regular one, and the "insane" commentary, which consists of the guys who worked on the movie, sounding drunk, making no sense, and the best part is when the characters yell in the movie, the yell along with it. Never heard of anything like it before.
