    It sounds like its pulling quite literally from the Innermost Cave in the Hero's Journey. To the point that its groan worthy.

    It should be noted that when your characters glitches into the ground or gets stuck somewhere you just kill yourself by pressing both trigger buttons. With that you don't have to restart.

    The game looks fun, but it dosen't sound like you are getting a lot of bang for your buck.

    Excellent review. It has a lot of technical problems. I'm glad you guys brought that up. It's a fun game, but the bugs and glitches take away from the experience.

    how about playing cave story?

    @Soggy Mogwai

    It does, but it's only local. I think it's mostly worthless since there's no split screen so if one player gets too far away from the others they're just left out unless they take 'focus' back which can be jarring. I think that with some kind of split screen it could have been better. If you want to see how it works out, check out Part 2 of the Happy Hour, Jason and I try it out.

    I didn't see any technical problems on the PC version.

    Bought this game after your first playthrough and am really loving it.

    I loved this game - great look, great tone, great humor.  I did experience a couple of glitches (on PS3), but when I was stuck on something, saving out and continuing the game fixed that.  I anticipated the game getting repetitive and dull on subsequent playthroughs, so I ended up using two new characters with one old (and favorite) character to round out my teams on the second and third time through.  The shared areas did become like a chore the last time through, I'll admit.  Overall, I felt The Cave was a nice surprise and a welcome change of pace.  Good stuff.  :)

    I always feel so sorry for Nick. That dude takes so much shit haha, you have thicker skin than I would ever have dude. I would have gone homicidal dozens of times over.

    So i don't think you guys mentioned one way or the other, but id there any kind of multiplayer?  It sounds like a 2-3man co-op mode would help re-playability.

    LOL. It took me till 1:18 to figure out this wasn't a movie review.

    Time traveler had me stuck withthe double log puzzle and the Monks bs all the way through. Insta kill buttons are a must at times and repeated playthroughs  do dull the luster of the game but I too feel that its adequate and needs more game done in the same likeness.

    I liked this game, and I didn't mind having to go in again with people because each character has two endings.  That one leftover seventh character I gave two characters who I wanted to see their alternate endings.  In total five playthroughs should cover everyone, but I get how that can be tedious.

    @Davril Chorster I played on the Wii U and had my characters get stuck...the insta-kill was the two triggers. It wasn't even a big issue for me. I'm not sure if Jeff and Jason had the suicide option on Xbox and PS3...I would assume they do though.

    @Jason Murphy, that was your XBOX because it's a 7 year old piece of technology.  I played it on PC and nothing bad ever happened.  Also, when one of your characters is physically stuck somewhere, on the PC you press 9 and it insta-kills that character and teleports him/her elsewhere.

    Consoles suck.

    The Cave wasn't difficult at all.  There wasn't a single puzzle that stumped me.  That being said, it's an excellent game, it made me think a lot, and I played with all seven characters.

    Love this game. Hell there hasn't been a single Double Fine game that I've played that I didn't love.
