Think this is my 6th time listening to the review, just for the back and forth about the "real" zombies.

Vampire and werewolf stories have often had a romantic/sexual undertone to them, so extending that out into pussy-fying them isn't too much of a stretch - zombies on the other hand? Nothin sexy about them, and if u think otherwise u need to see a shrink. As for the internal logic of zombies being ludicrous anyway, there's always a limit - vampires are ridiculous but doesn't mean they should have glowing diamond skin cos that's retarded. Not sayin this film is on the same level though, ain't seen it, but if people are pissed about this movies treatment of zombie lore, don't watch it...

LOL OUT The ASS: did I not just say I don't like football? One could easily put two and two together that I may in fact NOT be an expert at the game. Still, I've heard more of the 49ers than the Ravens and this is in my 30+ years of being exposed to the sport.

if the Ravens are NOT newbies? Then you got me cuz I ain't ever heard of them til they made the Super Bowl this year. And you can calm down cuz I was rooting for the "newbie" Ravens to win, hence my disgruntled comment on the blackout working against them.

You got to be kidding me? Yes, during the blackout Tonya Harding broke the legs of all the Ravens starters while all the 49ers were getting pumped with HGH.

And yes you don't know jack about NFL when you're calling the 49ers a seasoned team and the Ravens newbies.

    @slender

Pal, if that happened I can almost god damn guarantee I'd be a football fan FOR LIFE. shit...Even if it came down to something as simple as one of the teammates DYING mid-game would I become a football fan for life.

    ..I guess I'm an "All-Or-Nothing-Stuntman-Mike" kinda guy...

Yes I just referenced Death Proof.

Still...that having been said, it's nice to see EA Poe's hometown get a Superbowl win, and your point is well taken.

Now if you'll excuse me, good sir, I gotta take a shit. lol

    Have a good one.

@ Dustin Scarsdale - What if the Ravens/49ers turned into zombies during the blackout?

Then I would have watched the Super Bowl. Given it is Super Bowl weekend, I'm glad to see Warm Bodies still do well (from the sound of things). Plus zombies shuffle faster than that shit takes to get going.

OFF TOPIC -- Sorry for posting here, but SUPER BOWL IS FUCKING RIGGED MAN!

You boys oughtta discuss this in your next ACOCO or LTD...Cuz god damn I ain't NEVER seen me some bullshit like a power outage during a game where the newbie team is beating the fuck out of a seasoned senior team...and then next thing you know SURPRISE MOTHERFUCKERS! - The points are Even Fucking Steven.

...and I don't even give a fuck about football...

Watched this last night and I have to say that even though the Zombie genre is exhausted and as mainstream as can be at this point, I found this movie a slight breathe of fresh air. Before its a Zombie movie however its a total chic flick which is where I think the difference falls in for fans of Shaun Of The Dead and Warm Bodies. Shaun was more of a buddy buddy bro-down movie where Shaun just happens to be motivated for his love of Liz to keep going. Warm Bodies 100 percent revolves around the chemistry of the two on screen. Great movie all in all and I'm glad I caught it.

Warm Bodies review: Warm Bodies, boy. Man let me tell ya something this is a straight foward film, and i liked it. Nicholas Hoult (from About a Boy and X-Men: First Class) and Teresa Palmer (from December Boys and The Grudge 2) star in Jonathan Levine's (50/50) adaptation of Isaac Marion's popular zombie-romance-comedy. In the 2nd "Rom-Zom-Com" ive seen (Shaun of the Dead was my first) Hoult stars... as R, a zombie in an abandoned airport (abandoned meaning lack of living) with other zombies, shuffling around and wondering about. Julie (Palmer) is an Army Brat and alongside her boyfriend try to lead a mission from her father to locate some medicine. Through a set of events R falls fro Julie and sworn himself to protect her. Throughout the film ,we see a budding relationship which also infects "the InFected", and i'll leave you with that. The film has a sense of wit, and charm mostly through voiceovers with R and the chemistry between the leads, though their are points were you're hoping for a zombie attack at times, but they are brief. Warm Bodies has a self-refrencial style that is not as bad as other films....Movie 43 (cough), and is sutiable for all types of movie-goers who like Zombie films, and Rom-Coms. The film also stars John Malkovich, Dave Franco, and Rob Corrdry. I will be honest at first glance at the premise, i swore to Unicron, this was gonna be a Twilight-type of story, like some other releases this year (Beautifull Creatures and City of Bones), but thansk to the trailer, id did not, so i'll leave you with a Matinee, Warm Bodies and bundle up cause it's cold outside.

scored 77% on RottenTomatoes, whew 'It may not take full advantage of its quirky, possibility-rich premise, but Warm Bodies offers a sweet, well-acted spin on a genre that all too often lives down to its brain-dead protagonists.'

    saw the movie today

    really liked it alot

tons of fun, slick, sexy, comedic and full of dark humor
not many zombie movies tackle this area of putting the perspective in the eyes of the undead, it's a real rarity these days
Nicholas Hoult of 'X-Men: First Class' status stars as a conflicted flesh-eater who just wants to establish a real human connection outside of just being a mindless, souless monster
the movie amazingly serves as an allegory for how human beings have become very complex beings; feeling like just a part of the crowd, being dead on the inside, giving up altogether and feeling incapable of change
the movie has terrific performances from the actors, the special effects and makeup is flawless especially for the Bonies or fully degenerated zombies without flesh who will eat anything with a heartbeat
John Malkovich isn't in the movie enough, however but that's ok because the focus of the story is on the two romantic leads
Rob Corddry plays also a pretty good supporting best friend zombie to R believing in him and relying on him
the memory and dream sequences actually took me by surprise because I didn't think R  could have any of that kind of brain recognition as a zombie early in the movie but it was a nice move on the filmmakers' behalf to show that he still has desires, hopes, dreams and prosperity
feels like a Judgement Day version of Romeo and Juilet because the biggest reason that gets in the way of R and Julie being together is that he's undead and she's a living, breathing human
'Warm Bodies' is funny, sweet, romantic, well-acted and pretty entertaining

and I loved Teresa Palmer all the way through :), she's still fucking hot and you guys should see her naked in Restraint! :)

    Talk about Romeo and Juliette...

    Juliette - Julie

    Romeo - R

    Paris - Perry

    Mercucio - M(arcus)

Nurse - Nora (who describes what she wants to do as a doctor work but calls it a nurse)

"In touch with her inner necrophiliac"

At least he didn't f*cking sparkle.

And I think she enjoyed his company as a friend more until much later on.

Wow Co-Host - you're doing it again - seeing things that didn't happen - and missing things that weren't there.  She never asked him if he couldn't drive.  She was just understandably upset that he crashed the pretty car. :)

The zombies we're used to seeing are all over the map who can say there isnt room for another type? Viral zombies, gas zombies, nuclear mutant zombies, alien slug zombies, the list goes one and the science for each takes a different level of disbelief for each. I think the problem is when one zombie holocaust looks similar to another you start to lump them all together under the same sets of rules. I started reading a Manga by the name of Sankarea that follows a similar Romeo & Juliet human/zombie romance concept but totally turns the zombie thing on its ear. but early on they just straight up break the forth wall and tell you "Yeah, hey look; this isn't a zombie apocalypse story." I think to enjoy this movie you probably just have to not judge it by the same standard as Night of the Living Dead because it's just not meant to tell that kind of story.

My doctoral thesis on a probable explanation for regeneration of reanimation of zombies after the heart starts up again. The cause for the zombies might have been a experimental chemical to cause human cells to regenerate injuries for millitary use but it went wrong causing catastrophic heart failer. The scence were the heart restarts might have anti bodies from long term exposure to compond to help stabilize it as they return to high function but getting more oxygen to the brain and hince become true reaniments. Thank you I'll be expecting my PHD on the science of zombies in the mail.
