    1st. sucker punch was awesome.

2nd. what's wrong with knowing who and what you are and accepting all parts of you rather it be a pro or a con. i'd rather be a consistant failure than a consistant flip flopper. 10, 30, or 60. i'm always me day and night and proud :) jangg!

Someone made a remark about being offended by Django Unchained. What was offensive about Django Unchained? Please don't tell me you guys think the use of the word "nigger" was offensive, and that you are on Spike Lee's side.

The Pacific Rim trailer makes me remember Godzilla:Final Wars. Not the best thing, but this could be a boon as it will keep my expectations low.

Jackman as Logan lost me completely during the Origins flick when he's running through a war zone in slo mo  looking like a damn shampoo commercial.  I know he's far too old but I always thought Michael Ironside would make a great Wolverine.

The new Fast and furious film looks retarded, and Seth Rogen should stop making movies. He is not funny and I just saw that smasung commercial he did with paul rudd. Hollywood, stop giving that man work! Iron man 3 looks good though

Never sold on Jackman as Wolverine. Too pretty boy.

Wolverine is listed as 5'3" but he's so stocky that he's got a Chris Benoit physique. Hence THAT was the reason why he was called "Wolverine" and NOT Hugh "The Thunder from Down Under" Jackman who belongs in Vegas rather than as the ol' Canucklehead.

    @Fungusmonkey

The only "solid" thing about Iron Man 2 was the collagen injections in Mickey Rourke's face.

I land somewhere in the middle on Jackman being Wolverine. He is way too tall, not nearly surly enough, and quite frankly - I don't find him intimidating at all. Logan/Wolverine should be the kind of guy who can just stare you down, and you start getting the heebiejeebies. However, part of it is Jackman himself and part of it is the poor writing job they've done with him (taking him from a gruff teammate to the leading man of every X-film).

I think it's going to be one of those cases where everyone thinks he's a great Wolverine until eventually it gets rebooted with a new actor who nails it, and everyone wonders what they were thinking. Like how people used to think that Michael Keaton was the perfect Batman.

This is the extended trailer for Woods Porn, a short film my son Arlo Neill is making for - hopefully, Fantastic Fest.  Why am I posting it here?  CoHost 3000 is the star!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXpYH80D31k&list=UUPF162J6x6a5wFu8JkwOGiw&index=1

I'm looking more forward to Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's This Is The End (which you guys did not mention) then Edgar Wright's The World's End. I thought both Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead were fine films, but anything written by Rogen and Goldberg with a cast like that is sure to be the greatest comedy of the year. Plus, Rogen and Franco are a better and funnier pair then Pegg and Frost.

I always feel conflicted when it comes to Fox/Columbia's Marvel movies (that'll be X-Men Fantastic Four and Spiderman). I want them to be good, enjoyable movies that I really like but I badly, more than anything want the movie licenses to return to Marvel (well the Mouse now) and the longer these movies are successful the harder I see it happening. I think Marvel will 8 times out of 10 will make a better Marvel movie than Columbia or Fox ever will. I do hope that in the next 12 (that's a really long time when I think about it) years that that happens somehow. Daredevil is back now so that's good.

Re Sucker Punch: I stumbled on this a couple of days ago and I don't really agree but I don't disagree either. I feel that there's something in it.

I read that Gravity has a 15 min one take scene and that's crazy. Really excited for that, could be a modern classic.

I don't think cocaine is the rout of Frank Miller's downfall. It's obvious that Sin City is the last decent thing he wrote. It's no coincidence that he went fucking insane after 9/11. That day changed him and a lot of other people to the worse. He had fascist tendencies and 9/11 gave him the necessary push. The Joker would've been pleased.

I agree that Jackman was a good Wolverine, but I don't equate him to Downey Jr./Tony Stark level of perfect casting.

Wait a minute Leog, did we all watch the same Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs?  I turned it off after I'd watched half of it because it was so fucking riddled with ADD that I couldn't stand it.  At first I was annoyed, then I grew bored.  Then I shut it off.

I still haven't finished the podcast. Not a ad thing, just goes to show you how meaty the LEOG is. :)

@Leog, "Live Free or Die Hard" was shot as an R-rated film.  But in order to put butts in seats, the producers asked the filmmakers to make adjustments and provide audiences with a theatrical PG-13 version.  Both the DVD and Blu-ray feature the famous John Maclean Yippee-ki-yay line. :O)
