My Review of A Good Day to Die Hard

I saw this film on Saturday and i will be the first to admit i was very excited. The trailer had me sold for a big, dumb action film that could pass for a popcorn blockbuster (barely). But this film is HEAVY, AND I MEAN HEAVY on the dumb, I mean there are scenes in here that just make no sense, me and friend were just laughing at the pure implausibility of everything in this film. Towards the end of the film there is a twist that makes no sense and you are told just to go with it but you can't because you've been bashed over the head with dumb action scenes and just horrible dialogue, there is no dialogue i mean for the first 10 mins all Bruce Willis is saying "JACK! JACK! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" and oh my god, he keeps on saying "i'm on vacation" every 15 mins and after the first two times it loses all tolerance. This is a big ole FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!! Skip Woods wrote this, the same guy who gave us the genius of X-men Origins, The A Team, and Hitman. (SIGH).

I saw this yesterday with my school, so I didn't have to pay to get in...probably the only reason this film didn't get an F U from me. Everything you guys said about this film was SPOT ON!!!! Great review guys

I went to see this yesterday with a person who said they hate plot development and story build up and love brainless acton movies. Afte watching this she said it suck and was not s good as the original so really don't know who they made his movie for also did anyone else think they rip off metal gear solid 4? To conclude I would totally bang that russian chick that kida looks like naomi hunter.

I think it be best if someone else closes off the review with some humor, cause that Bruce-Shit joke was just flat, out of timing and seemingly awkward for the rest of the crew.

Stop attempting to be funny Brian, just give your review and be done with it.

I'll say this in regard to the fourth installment of the series. It had one of the more underrated villians in that French Special Forces guy who could be cold, calculating, and can physically go toe to toe with John in a way not seen before. That made the movie atleast somewhat enjoyable for me.

Not too late for Bruce to go back to his music career... ;)

My friend wanted to see A Good Day to Die Hard but the only other Die Hard film he had seen was Live Free or Die Hard. The re-education of Die Hard has begun! I just watched Die Hard With a Vengeance last night and to be quite honest, I think that one is definitely the best of the series. So many memorable action scenes and hilarious dialogue between Bruce WIllis and Sam Jackson. I sincerely hope whatever studio exec ordered a Die Hard 6 finds a far better director to helm the movie.

To be quite honest this new movie seems like it has all the right elements; John McClaine is a fish out of water (he's in another country, this should be easy), camaraderie between the two main characters (he's with his son... again this should be easy), John McClaine in the wrong place at the wrong time messing up everything for the bad guys (he isn't the CIA agent and wasn't supposed to be there in the first place), etc. It's a shame this movie didn't turn out better. Breaks my heart the same way Taken 2 did in that it seemed like there was a great premise and opportunity to defy expectations and make a worthy sequel, but whoever was in charge of making the movie was too incompetent to put it all together. I'll probably still see this in theaters but my expectations will remain low.

JoeDrifter, I too can see this being a low low LOW rental. I f I watched this on TV I might be sucked in by some of the CG. I guess I feel the need to give this Some Ol' Bullshit because this would be lazy for even a cheap action film, much less something they were pulling a quick cash grab from unsuspecting audiences by slapping DIE HARD on its title.

And Iit's still hard for me to dislike Bruce Willis, as smug as I find him sometime.

This one of the messiest action movies i've EVER seen, and their is no plot, no good villains (NO VILLAINS!!!!), and some of the comedy is cringe-worthy...BUT i will give a pass to Courtney and Willis who did a decent job with terrible dialog, and F U John Moore!!!!! I'd give this fim a low, LOW Rental at best. But if they do do a Die Hard 6, MAKE IT GOOD

Earlier this year, I heard that they were gonna make another die hard movie, and I thought "Oh here comes an unnecessary sequel". And when I was on Spill.com and saw that there was an audio review for this movie, I thought "That movie's out already? Already?!"

Thanks for the review guys. I'll be sure to stay away from this one. No wonder why they released it in February.

Define Irony: An Astroid explodes over the skies of russia, the day after the latest Die Hard movie, (staring Bruce Willis, an actor known for one of his roles saving the world from an Astroid) which takes place in Russia. Both Bruce Willis and Astroids have it out for Russia this week.
