Good review, guys. It's a damn shame this couldn't be a good game, but I'm not a particularly big fan of the Aliens franchise.
As much as I want society to not put such a huge taboo on coarse language in everyday conversations, you guys do swear a lot, and for me, it seems a bit unnecessary. Just my two cents.

I think this universe should be left alone. There hasn't been a good Alien movie in over 20 years and the games have been abysmal. I love Alien and Aliens, but games like Colonial Marines and movies like AVP and Prometheus just keep shitting on a franchise that's been on life support for years. Hold onto your memories of the first two films. I like to think that Ripley, Newt, Hicks and Bishop are still drifting through space. Will never know if they'll be found. Maybe that's for the best.

I actually have a couple friends who per-orded the game & swear up & down to me the game isn't as bad as people say it is to which I raise my eyebrow to them.
You could easily call this game Alines Colonial Marines: Or How To Piss Away All The Good Will From Borderlands.
