All the samples from the Food album are from the old spiderman cartoon from the 80s. The episode in particular that most of the samples are from are from the episode "The Cannon of Doom"in one of the Spiderman episodes. I'll send Leon an Email of that episode on youtube.

Wow for a second I thought my ipod was messing up and was mixing the podcast with the MF Doom "Mm.. Food" album. One of the best albums I've ever heard in my entire life and what my spill name is based off of. And Kory goes off on this MF Doom sampling spree. I love Spill 100x more now. Everyone should listen to that album.

Also not a judgment: plus many people's successes fall on the call of others who make them a success. many times it really is a judgment call and based on the right place and the right time, which many do not have...and some DO have but get denied.

All I'm saying is, you can work hard, follow the rules, do all the right things, but still get rejected....

    Example: Taylor Kitsch

Korey and company: RE judging stars who want ass-kissing. I know many are not assholes...

    But consider Kim Kardashian.

    MR CHOCOLATE BAR

Totally valid point and for an advertiser that is where you want your ad. Advertisers most certainly would want their ad at the very top of every website.

What I was mentioning was Google's best practice to not penalize a site. One of the variables deals with where Ad space goes on a website. While a website can make money off ads (especially if they were at the top of a website) Google can still see this as a bad practice and what is considered an irrelevant space early for a user and thus downgrade the site with a penalty that can result in 70% loss in traffic.

Just wanted to throw this out there actually to anyone who has a website for that matter who is looking to make money off ad space

    Cheers

    @Greg Kristan

I would think advertisers would want their ads front and center. I might be assuming too much when it comes to advertisers and their demands. If i were an advertiser I would be telling them to put my ads on the top where everybody could see them and then I would find out how the site appears on the screen and demand that my ads be on the side but not out of sight. I sometimes have to hold down the control key and use my mouse wheel to zoom in on the site so if I were an advertiser, I would want to pay less for side ads. You can't zoom out top ads.

You will know spill is big when shows like , let's do this , start saying , 'i'm ready, cohost , you ready? goatsy and billy's ready...letssss dooo thisssssssssss (brought to you by kfc crispy chicken strips, try some chicken strips today)ssssssssssssss. then the music starts to play.

I think spill should also have a suggestion box tap at the top.

I listened to the show at work with my headphones. I work at ETS in a pretty professional environment. And I had to stifle so many laughs! MF Doom is the shit, does anyone have any other hip hop groups I could get into?

well to be fair the oscars just happened this past weekend so if anything the best and worst of podcast should be  out just around this time. it makes more sense to me.

i don't get why people were complaining back in december. From what i remember spill has always done it around oscar time.

    @ MR CHOCOLATE BAR

To go along with advertisers a word of caution. Make sure any ads are below the main eye level for a website. Google's algorithm "Panda" actually targets sites with too many ads or ads at the very top of a website. Getting hit with this penalty can result in as much as 70% of traffic loss. Best to keep the best practice.

Hey spill crew, I have another set of recommendations and suggestions for your site.

When I come to the home page of your site, I go looking for a particular pod cast only to find that it is no longer in that '5 podcast lineup'. I then have to go search for the podcast by going through the html weeds and links in order to find my show. Why don't you guys separate the main podcasts from the reviews and have two sets of '5 podcast lineups'? I think your regular shows such as LDT, ACOCO, the LEAGUE etc, should ALWAYS have a presence (MEANING A PERMANENT THUMBNAIL) on the home page and not be bumped off because a new show or review has to occupy that window. That lineup reminds me of a display window at Woolworths where they can only put a finite amount of stuff in it at the expense of other stuff. You guys , i believe, need to add a second display window! You should also recognize that having a presence on the home page all the time is like advertisement for those shows. If I don't see it, I am not thinking about it.  I believe you will also increase the number of hits or views for those shows. I just notice that certain shows do not get to stay up in the number one position for long and I don't think that's fair to them. Also, I think these podcasts should stay up until the next podcast comes out instead of vanishing for a few days until the next one comes out.

I understand that advertisers might have a say in where they are placed on a site and what size their ads are, but I think you guys can work around that. I say, podcasts on top, reviews right under that and keep that same optical rotation thing for both.

Been listening to People Under the Stairs for years. Love them. They frequently pop up my Pandora hip hop channels and on a Spotify station I made. OST is a great song.

Someone asked about some experimental hip hop with crazy samples. Look up Disrupted Ads from Oh No (who has a cool birth name). Lot of repetition that some may hate, but some great samples. See if you can figure out where one repeated sample of dialogue is from. That line is also a big sample in a Ron Artiste, a collaboration with Chali Tuna and Roc C. Good luck finding the who album. Seems to have disappeared.

Showed Leon ALL CAPS years ago. He quickly dissed it.

Skeel Eklips, you are correct. Good one.
