Carlyle comes on a LEOG. He's got this new book, dontcha know, that's getting high praise indeed. Add to that his success with writing the 2012 horror film "Sinister" and his upcoming film adaptation of the game "Deus Ex".

Regarding the Norwegian black metal band story...  The name of the band was Mayhem.  The second singer, Per Yngve Ohlin (aka "Dead") committed suicide in a house that the band had bought as a place they could work on their next album in.  The guitarist, Øystein Aarseth (aka "Euronymous") found the body, took pictures, collected skull fragments, then called the police.  The story about eating part of the brain was made up, most likely by Euronymous, to make the band appear more evil.  However, he did use the skull fragments in making pieces of jewelry and gave some of the jewelry to other musicians he felt were 'worthy'.  Euronymous also used one of the pictures of Dead's body as an album cover.

Euronymous was later killed by another black metal musician, Varg Vikernes (aka "Burzum"), in either self-defense or an argument over a contract.  Vikernes spent 15 years in prison for murder, arson (he was found guilty of burning three Christian churches), and possession of explosives.  He got out on parole in 2009.

Oh, and it was great hearing Carlyle again.

I'm glad all of you enjoy Mr, Cargill.  I wish the man all the best, but personally I find him insufferable.  I listened to him for about twenty minutes, and just had to stop.

How many episodes did I miss for me to not know you guys loved fiasco. My group podcast actually just ran a Fiasco game with a superhero play-set  If your interested, its here. http://www.fandible.com/fiasco-with-great-power/ . I think it effectively shows the fun and horrible characters you can make in Fiasco. Anyway, long live the league and record a fiasco session why don't you.

@Joshua Balcombe Yep. Right after I said it, I realized my mistake but, as the ball was rolling right along and I didn't want to kill Cargill's momentum I elected not to correct myself. Mayhem is indeed the band and the member in question was Euronymous.

I'm so happy for all of Cargill's success and can't wait to pick up his book, but I have to admit, there's nothing like hearing Carlyle on Spill.

@Stankey Kubrick: I was on this episode... in, like, every single segment. I am on pretty frequently still, I think.

That guy who sits in with Cyrus and Leon is extremely funny. Is that the guy from mystery science theater 3000? He sounds like a professional funny dude.

I downloaded this show and put it on a memory card then plugged that card into my car stereo. I drove from NJ to PA two hours one way and then came back. and the show was still on half way back. It's nice listening to these shows when you are driving but these guys at spill should put some sound compression on their audio. Somebody would be talking then somebody else will start laughing and it is so loud that it hurts. I almost crashed when somebody started laughing.

I saw 'The Lords Of Salem' last week. I really enjoyed it. Terrific imagery. I live an Ireland and the theatre it was shown in is actually a really old gothic church that has been renovated into a one screen theatre. It really added to the experience. Mind you siting a pulpit for over an hour and 40 minutes is not the most comfortable experience.

Sinster was (and still - I still have to buy it on Blu-ray) my most anticipated horror film as a not-so-big-a-horror-fan. Really happy for you, Carlyle, and best of luck on the Deus Ex film. I want the public to embrace that take on video games because it would be nice to see Hollywood break up the comic book/graphic novel adaption trend with something else for variety's sake.

Also, those were some fun ACOCOs. Lately, I feel like they've been a couple of bong hits because Korey always seems to pull something up that makes me regret that I'm not robo-trippin' or on Vicodin so that I could at least somewhat appreciate some of his, er, choices.
