Podcasts - Remote Viewing: Episode 51

With SXSW in Austin in full swing, there hasn't been much time for home release watching, but we did what we could....which means finding a narrow window to record on a rooftop in Austin in between a parade of interviews, panels, and film screenings. Sorry about the ambient news and background talkers. Next week should be back in the studio. But, you still don't want to miss this one as we talk about some really amazing titles that might not have crossed your radar.

I totally agree with @CoffeeSpill. One of my favorite parts of Remote Viewing is hearing Cyrus and sometimes Brian go over a movie they already reviewed, because by now they've had more time to think over their thoughts about the film.

You guys should do RV outside every week. Trains passing. Winds blowing. Things falling down. Works for me. I feel like next episode something is going to blow up.

I wonder if "the Bay" might have been partly inspired in anyway by the the manga or movie "Gyo"/"Tokyo Fish Attack"

I'm probably the only one who wants to watch "The Marine 3: Homefront" but there's no way in hell I'm gonna pay full price for it. I guess I'll just wait a week till it hits the bargain bins

Haven't heard a bad word said about 'Intouchables'. I did enjoy it but...

I found it a paint by numbers, cute, foreign slice of life festival type film. I found it VERY predictable and a bit cheesy really. The scene at the opera had me tearing my hair out. I would have thrown that punk over the balcony for ruining the show.

Don't understand the unanimous praise of the film...

Woah, when you guys said there will be shorter shows across the board, you weren't kidding!  Yikes, that's a short group of movies!  I'm kidding... I know you have SXSW so it's a miracle you guys have time to do these shows in any capacity.  Looking forward to listening a bit later...

Also worth a mention that "The Intouchables" is known as "Untouchable" on Amazon U.K. and seems to be a bit expensive there too. :P Here's the image for it, and despite the short show, it was still just as enjoyable as always. Thanks for putting it together Cyrus and Brian. :)

It's such a shame that a film such as The Bay gets practically zero screens while absolute bullshit like Apollo 18, Paranormal Activity 4, and The Devil Inside get 3000 screens. This certainly one of the better environment based horror films in the last couple decades. Remember Prophecy?
