Finished the game last night and I loved the experience but it feels like Uncharted with bad multiplier. Great story and mostly good characters and the combat is fun but by the end, I felt like it feel a little flat.

I really, really loved this game, and I loved the character of Lara Croft in this. I was never a fan of the old Tomb Raider games, or her character in them, but I loved how they made me really made a likeable character, making her younger and just starting out was the best move they could have taken.

This is the first game in a long time that I've finished and instantly wished a sequel was out for it. :)

@Chameleon I dont see anything plot wise that makes it similar to RE4

Algiuz & Jack Burton, the normal difficulty can never be too easy considering you can turn it up to hard at any time..

If you turn it up to hard, then it's not the normal difficulty, is it?

@TheDVDGrouch  YES!!  I was thinking that!  It's got the same premise as Far Cry 3:  Naive, unextraordinary person gets into extraordinary circumstance and has to become a baddass to save his/her friends.  I was so pissed-off all anyone wanted to focus on in the former was "racism".  It's okay in Tomb Raider I guess, because everyone's white (99.9%) (wtf no Japanese???).

I'm extremely surprised no review has compared this game to Resident Evil 4, because as far as plot goes, it's almost indistinguishable.  I'd hardly consider that a problem though, because Resident Evil 4 was, before Uncharted 2), the most fun I've ever had playing a video-game.  I had high hopes Tomb Raider would be similar, and it was!

I do hope the sequel includes more things from the original series. I feel that the bows is becoming a real fad in games and overused. Dont get me wrong i loved the game but the MP could have been removed. From a reboot its a great entry (like DmC for me at least).

I'm surprised you guys didn't bring up a Far Cry 3 comparison considering both games deal with a lot of the same subject matter.

Finished the game tonight.  Props to Crystal Dynamics for in many ways one upping the Uncharted franchise.  That's at least how I feel about the campaign.  The multiplayer on the other hand seemed a little poorly though out.  The game doesn't balance teams, many of the maps are designed in such a way where one team can camp out the other team's spawn point and just clean up everyone as soon as they respawn.  If they are really set on having multiplayer they either need to patch the game and add or modify maps, or just work harder on it for the next title.  Still, I only bought this game for the campaign, and I liked that.

Just finished the game before listening to the review and i agree with nearly everything you guys said. I thought the level design was great in this game and thought the campaign was a good length, Some of the set pieces were excellent and it took me longer than i thought it would to complete. I would give it a high full price Fantastic game.

Oh yes, the site filled with varying opinions from users and critics. I suppose it's nice to know where you get spoonfed your opinions though.

And who decides if the game is good, you?

I haven't checked the review, but based off the comments the dodge mechanic is a lot like Alan Wake.

I really enjoyed the game. Most of the problems are little nit-picks in the storytelling where if they made some slight changes it could have been better.  The gameplay though was top-notch (Controls/pacing/etc), except the game was too easy (Enemies/puzzles).
