Podcasts - Spill Call-in Show - February 13, 2011

This week I contemplated if I should even post this show. A glitch caused the audio to SUCK for the first hour. I listened to some of it, though, and decided there was enough interesting things to hear despite the poor quality. Things like animators in the hood, a girl throws all her ex's business out there, what would make a great biopic, who's responsible for Giggles, people who give bad reviews just for a laugh, what movie would make a good cartoon, and prime hipster real estate in New York.

Korey, I agree with you on the Dead Space 3 idea. I love the Isaac Clarke character but he's just gone through too much. Plus the ending of Dead Space 2 really gives a great ending to Isaac's story, and sets the character at peace. But I wouldn't be angry if they did have Isaac in the third, just as long as the game is good because if they fuck it up.... I'LL BE PISSED FOR THEM FUCKING UP MY FAVORITE FRANCHISE! yeah

I actually find Yahtzee entertaining; been watching him for a while and I know he is going to hate a game. But the thing is I think he is actually trying to prod the industry into more critical design before just ripping off another game, sub plot, or mechanic; just in an extremely entertaining way. I've seen him praise innovation even when the innovation is surrounded by total shit.

As for Dead Space I love the game but wasn't nearly as frightened as in the first one. I watched Zero Punctuations' review just a few minutes ago and agree with most of it being very repetitive as far as the "pop out" scares and such. After a while it just gets stale, but i still enjoyed the hell out of it.

Zero Punctiotion is the the guy who finds the flaws in games , that's his job . I mean if everbody praises something and don't see the flaws and don't improve , then there's something wrong with the world. As for Dead Space as an horror game (it's a action game , my freakin oppinion^^) there's every types of audiences that agree and don't agree , that what's called oppinion .If there's a group of audiences that have the same oppinion , don't they have the right to spout it out? I really Like the escapist review's and agree with him with dead space , and i'm one of thoose audiences that like what's he have to say , does everybody have to like it ?Nope!!! Everybody has their group of audiences^^ good day
