I did not pet Cyrus or the rest of the league as fans of Disturbed at all or even anything related to that genre of music judging by all the songs that are normally played during breaks. I am pleasantly surprised by this.

Also, I feel like Rooney Mara deserved the Best Actress Oscar. She transformed herself and became a totally different person for Dragon Tattoo. Not to mention her Swedish accent was great (at least to this American's ears).

Meryl Streep may have been a great Margaret Thatcher, but it was by no means a wide departure from any previous roles she's done. You never didn't notice it was Meryl Streep. Whereas with Lisbeth Salander, when you mention that she's the girl from Social Network people are totally floored.

I'm not lying when I say that I like every Tarantino film I've seen - Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill, Inglourious Basterds - EXCEPT for Pulp Fiction. I honestly did not like Pulp Fiction. I couldn't really tell you why, but I just hated every minute when Travolta and Jackson weren't onscreen. It is by far my least favorite Tarantino film.

I'm honestly not trying to troll. I've felt this way since I saw it for the first time 3 years ago and have felt the same way every time I've tried to rewatch it since.

It's sad that I remember this, but I played the "Chariots of Fire" theme at my eighth grade graduation ceremony. Yeah, junior high school was not one of my fondest memories. Still listening to the podcast, but as usual, excellent work gentlemen!

Hey, i dont mind the occasional jab at something but really whats wrong with anime and manga, yes i read Naruto so what I also read things like Hellsing, FMA and Death Note, i like the culture and the story and before you make a joke about a story in manga at least they dont reboot it every few years or miraculously bring people back from the dead.

just because you don't like it you dont needot keep bashing it "George lucas is exempt from what i just said"

"You guys crack me up...in a bad way"

What were you saying about being arrogant?

You guys crack me up...in a bad way. I love the show but at times you lot come across as arrogant with your comments on films such as Kings speech and the fact it won over inception. Kings speech was watched by millions of people of all ages from 7 year olds to 90 years olds. Inception Is a better movie in my eyes but its less open to all ages  and closed off. Also in a nice way you all seem to say " ahh thats one of my favorite...movies/ actors for nearly all good films ....how many favorites do you have??!!!!

@Davril Chorster, Why are you up the fence on me? I just thought that the joke didn't make sense in the context it was said and it gave me expectations that there was more to it then a tax joke (which I didn't get anyway). I read the books, and only got really geeky about HP when the last two movies were coming out in theaters, because I don't like change, and HP was the one thing constant in my life. I am one of the many people on the site who has Aspergers, and am just dealing with the loss of HP in my own way. I cried when Teen Titans was cancelled for fucks sake. I have a problem with letting go. I don't care about the effects of HP, I care about HP itself. I have thearpy to help me 'get over it'.

And if you're not into HP, you probably think I feel entitled to something just because I am a HP fan and are probably sick and tired of hearing about 'HP this' or 'HP that'. Well, I'm sorry. I hated Avatar, but I don't hold that against someone. I just have Aspergers.

But heres the bottom line: The joke wasn't funny even in context because I don't understand tax percent. I thought it was leading up to something if he would mention HP, because that's how you segaway into something. It didn't happen and so it was kind of 'what was the point?'. Even my parents said, 'Well that joke came out of nowhere'. And I said 'fuck you', because it's the Internet and that's how you unleash anger.

    PS: I am a girl.

I'm apparently the only person who thought that the Hurt Locker did deserve best picture, I just remember being flat out stunned by that movie and it left me speechless. It had been a long time since I had gone on an emotional ride quite like that. But hey, that's just me.

Mickey Rourke WAS nominated at the Oscars for The Wrestler. He was the favorite. The shock that night was that Sean Penn won.

(Well, I thought Sean Penn SHOULD have won, so I was happy that night. lol)

@Gothka13, it was a joke.  The HP films are just films and Billy Crystal's joke was a good one.  Get over it, fanboy/girl.  HP is done and gone and I for one am glad.  I am sick and tired of special effect overrunning a potentially good story with potentially good character development.  And the HP films' special effects stopped looking good after the third film.

No, I'm not an HP fan and no, I'm not an LOTR fan.  And don't try to convince me that I'm wrong.

The worst picture to win the Oscar for Best Picture is "The English Patient" Hands down the worst chick flick on the planet. The thing that bothered me the most is that it was edited by The Editor Guru Walter Mursch. He worked with Coppola (The Conversation) and Lucas (Return to Oz). The ultimate head scratcher.

I'm surprised you guys liked American Beauty. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a very good movie (at least I did then), but you boys strike me as the type that would be on the opposite side of the fence on that one.

Well, I guess the whole 'most of the academy is around 60' will explain why Harry Potter was snubbed. It should have at least won best makeup, but no, the 'Iron Lady' took it. And I knew 'Hugo' was going to dominate the awards. And then all that HP got for it's last year at the Oscar was a tax joke. Fuck you Billy Crystal, I thought you were going to segway to a clip honoring HP, but all you did was a stupid joke that didn't relate to anything in context before or after. Fuck. You.

Wow, I guess they really need Leon to maintain order, cause without him it's just everybody vying for who can tell the loudest joke.  Although, in the past, they've been a nice clean show even without Leon, so I dunno what was up this episode.  Still good show, though.
